Also my plastics seem to come real close to the pinch weld bottom and looks real easy to mess up my plastics with less than perfect placement of support. Now I figured that in behind there I could get a 2X4 edgewise, or a 2x6 flat, but only needs like a 4" chunk or you're into messing up plastics again, and could I find one???? Nope... I swear I should have all sizes of blocks and offcuts around, but they scrambled into dark corners when I went on the hunt. I gotta dig out saws and workmates and shit this evening and cut a piece to correct damn size.
These work really well for the pinch welds but, yeah, it won't help you this evening...

Bright side is, as well as she did today, She'll be amazing with decent All terrain sneakers
AT3W's are actually one of the better AT tires for snow performance. Have you measured tread depth? I'm not nearly as impressed with the AT4's, unless you are into more severe off-road conditions, which is not the Maverick play card. Regardless, I'd put money on the AT3's over the Nitto's for snow performance. 🤠

My 2025 AWD Hybrid with the Goodyear Territory HT tires did alright with the wet slush pack on my commute today. I was definitely able to find their traction limit inside of the regenerative braking threshold however, and they weren't confident with lateral traction. 5/10 rating, no glaring problems but definitely not something I'd use for severe snow service.
The Territory HT are total ass.

I had enough after 10,650 miles. They are the worst tire I’ve ever had on a vehicle and that’s saying something.

I think Ford just punk'd you with yours... they gave you worse average gas mileage and didn't vulcanize your tires as a joke.

There are definitely worse tires they could use than the Goodyears. I'm not calling them amazing, but I am calling them just fine.

On the unsalted, uncleared roads on my morning commute which consisted of 3" of wet snow, slush, and patches of ice, I was able to drive with due regard on the stock tires that came with my 2025 Lariat Hybrid AWD and reach my destination about 11 miles away with 50/50 highway and city driving without much drama. However, their weaknesses were obvious though not glaring and I'd prefer a snow tire for anything more demanding. But they should be serviceable for the large percentage of Maverick owners that live in milder climates south of PA that won't see worse weather.

Got my 23 eco AWD XLT in November 23 and immediately put on 245 Falken AT3W's . Still enough tread going into my third winter here around Lake Dillon, Colorado. 28000 miles. Never been out of normal mode. Some traction loss since new naturally but still pulling fine through the snow. I am retired so can pick and choose when i get on the road. Will run next summer and reshod the Maverick next winter. Looking at Nokian Outpost nAT's next time as AT3W no longer available in 245. AT4's not rated as good in snow.

I'm an eejut, got WS90 on the brain because that's what the reviews all crow about for SUVs, I got "real" truck tires, the Blizzak DM V2

Just fucked up today's window though, got to the GenX dilemma of i) Goonies never say die, vs ii) streetlamps are on, gotta come in the house. But yeah, dark sky can't see shit, so done.... plus extra research needed to get the front up...

... I appear to have bits on my truck that other ppl don't...

I was planning to go under the subframe mounting to front wishbone/suspension arm, but there's a shallow U channel across from side to side, covering them, WTF, don't see any other photos of that, and don't know what it's for.

Also my plastics seem to come real close to the pinch weld bottom and looks real easy to mess up my plastics with less than perfect placement of support. ETA: Damn, that crosspiece bit is there on others, https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/2025-hybrid-awd-underside-pictures.67605/ I don't know why the pic I found a few days ago, and spent a while studying/halfass memorising, did NOT have that piece on, thought that bolt/mounting point was free and clear. Have nice "big hard rubber washers" from top of some old struts that sit around large bolts nicely and on top of the jack, that's how I did the rear. So bugger, if I had seen the right pic I would have rethunk before I thunk. Lost that pic which mislead me too, think it was reddit *hawk, spit*
When I put my winter rims on my FWD Hybrid I hate using the pinch welds. I use a floor jack and longer 2x4s with notches cut out to match the pinch welds and plastic thickness. Pain because front and rear are different. I always pefer jacking on the front subframe of unibody cars. The rear the cross member or spring perch. Can't see anything because of the undersheild in front. Don't want to crush anything. The rear spring perch is to slanted and would no doubt slip off jack. I did see on the passenger a area just in from the rocker that seems solid and flat. I may try that when I put my summer rims back on. I will definetly pick up some hard rubber pucks that will fit on my floor jack instead of using the 2x4s. I hate factory jacks. I am looking at a electric telescoping jack on Amazon. It hopefully will work and fit under the rear seat beside my battery.

About 7 other vehicles I've had the factory "jack" points have bent on between the 1st and 3rd use, so I am super shy about using them unless it's an emergency with the tire change jack. Hence my own reluctance to use pinch welds.

The chunk of 2x4 cut to snug in behind them worked okay this morning. Got some slight abrasion paint transfer on it. So might have to gloop those areas with some rust preventer.

I don't know how that would ever happen.... maybe a rusted out 20 year old Kia....

First 4 could have been age and rust, but I deliberately avoided using them still, but 3 more cars which were within 3 years old I ended up having to use the factory wheel change jack for a flat, which only fits on the factory points and those bent. IDK if it's the emergency jacks that were more to blame or the jacking points, but I just don't have any luck at all with them. Two of the last three were Kia and Nissan. Picking my own points, one slight bend in a crosspiece when a chock slid and rolled off the jack. This discounts older vehicles that had actual box section framed in jack points which were also at the most obvious place to jack.

eta: I guess it's mainly the rocker located ones which I have no luck with.
eta2: clarification, one slight bend otherwise in 40 years of jacking up cars and putting them on stands. Started young. 97% unibody, S15 had a frame. All the factory point bending has happened in the last half probably.

I have the oem wild peaks and they suck in the snow. Even on regular turns around the block it would slip in the snow of about 2-3”
Blizzak soon for next year
I dont think most A/T tread patterns will be great in snow, but i think the wildpeaks in particular are very sensitive to inflation level in this particular instance

I didn't drive my Tremor on snowy roads up here but it got snowed in next to my garage, I put her in Slippery mode, set the locking rear and 4WD, she pulled herself out with 8 inches of snow on her.
