Maybe I'm too dense to understand the point you were trying to make then. Maverick with standard 4 cyl with DCT somehow superior to Bronco Sport with standard 3 cyl and DCT?
The Badlands comes with the same engine as the Maverick. It's the other trims below Badlands that are the three banger. Is that the disconnect?

I live near Houston, so mild climate. But when it rains there's a lot of standing water. I drive 70 round trip highway commute. I want AWD for that. I want Tremor for South Texas hunts and Hill Country camping.

No one really knows much on Tremor. But my money would be on expect a good wait if you get Tremor.
gte, that’s my point. You know what you want and need and that’s what you are considering.
For me, I don’t want any regrets like I wish that I would have got this or that when I ordered. No regrets, may cost more but I will have what I want. That’s my philosophy
My FX4 is plenty good so if it take awhile to get a Tremor that’s fine with me. I will just enjoy my 22 a little longer. 20 years since my last new vehicle and I might go back to back years now. Sometimes I laugh at myself but why not treat myself at this point

the maverick and badlands are the same engines both are 4 bangers. Both put out the same performance as far the engine.

as long as it doesn't have lux should be ok. The BS badlands take a long time to make? i see them everywhere right now.

You beat me to it lol

I'm a little bummed. I wanted that rear end on my FX4. I guess ill revisit it in a few years after the first major refresh and see what models are out there. in the mean time ill just use the Ladys BS badlands if need be lol. I'm curious to too the interior of this model though, i think it'll have a more commonly enjoyed scheme.
I hear you. My wife had to talk me out of selling my FX4 and ordering this. I'll wait a bit and see what else shakes out.

at that price they can go pound sand

I would rather order a Ranger at that price
I actually ordered a ranger tremor and declined it when it arrived due to the spongy brake peddle, poor fuel economy, high price and bogging down trans. And ordered the Mav which bettered the ranger in all the above except the bogging down trans. Although the trans for both vehicles seems to do it at different speeds and gears. Of course the ranger is a lot more capable off-road and towing. But all in all, I believe the Mav will do all I need for a much reduced total cost of ownership verses the ranger.

Don't care. I have a rad wrangler for serious off roading and a powerboost for lux and horsepower. I want this as a commuter. I drive 55 miles each way to work on a mountain highway that gets rain and snow. The hybrid on my F150 has not been very useful in a rural setting. I like an occasional trail ride but don't always want to drive the jeep to get there. This is perfect for my situation. I'm trading an Escape AWD for this to have the convenience of a truck and customization. Ford; please quit making us wait. S..t or get off the pot.
Hey, whatever floats your boat. Adding a dual clutch diff isn't going to transform this thing into an off road monster. It will make a moderately capable soft road vehicle slightly more capable. I got AWD and the FX4 package to make sure I could navigate snow and soft spots. IMO the dual clutch setup should have been standard for the FX4 package.

It depends on how much it costs and what's all included - who knows? The tremor package might be worthwhile. So long as everyone understands the limits of the vehicle.

I'm probably the only one on here that wants to get one then lower it for that sweet rally car look. Really liking the orange grill/tow hooks.

I agree. It should be on FX4. I like the better suspension and black seats as well though.

I just got back from the Bronco off rodeo. If the Tremor is 9/10ths as good as the BS Badlands I think it be a very capable soft-roader and leave anything remotely in its class(unibody/awd) in the dust.

Man I want to do off roadeo. I've considered ordering a Bronco to do it, then just not take delivery.

They opened it up to non buyers/owners. I really enjoyed, I've crawled and off roaded a bunch before but this was a first for my GF and it put her through her paces. Even a couple spots made me pucker. Really impressed with the BS badlands. Our guide was really good an even had us try a new line that ended in some damage but totally owned up to it as she was the spotter and that's considered the driver. They fed us two really good meals, a custom bronco yeti along with a shit ton of decals. All in all highly recommended!

Had this came with a more powerful engine also then I would have considered upgrading from my FX4 4K XLT but as ot stands I already have the 235 tires from the factory and it goes through and over anything I need it to do. I don't really do a whole lot of off-roading and what I do drive on I don't need to crawl over. COME ON MAVERICK ST OR RAPTOR haha
