40k won’t get you a 4x4 Ranger xlt . Will get you xl with limited options though
XLT 302A Splash w/ Tech Pkg, Trailer Tow, Spray-in bedliner, and locking rear diff comes out to $42.6k. Not a whole lot more.

To be clear I think it's mostly the Lariat w/ Lux where the Tremor pricing becomes overly pricey. If the Lariat Tremor included the heated bits and maybe fob remote start perhaps it'd be a much more compelling choice as you could reasonably eschew the luxury package.

To each their own. What does the Ranger bring for the price? Extra towing and a bigger bed? I'll take better fuel economy, smaller size to fit in garage and around city, and smoother ride. To me the Maverick is about value for the daily driver and features I want. Not just a cheap truck. Hence Lariat Tremor Lux is perfect for me!
With the new redesign, a larger touchscreen with Sync4 and significantly more offroad capability given the body-on-frame construction. The articulation on the Maverick is quite poor, meaning you can get up on 2-3 wheels fairly often...

They sure know their market. :ROFLMAO:

That said it isn't a bad setup, it's just never going to be anywhere near as capable as something with real 4x4, solid axles and lockers. But their target market doesn't know or doesn't care.
Don't care. I have a rad wrangler for serious off roading and a powerboost for lux and horsepower. I want this as a commuter. I drive 55 miles each way to work on a mountain highway that gets rain and snow. The hybrid on my F150 has not been very useful in a rural setting. I like an occasional trail ride but don't always want to drive the jeep to get there. This is perfect for my situation. I'm trading an Escape AWD for this to have the convenience of a truck and customization. Ford; please quit making us wait. S..t or get off the pot.

Jeep XJ/MJ would like to have a word with you. /S

It can be done, and done pretty well. The trouble is that to do great, it would limit the design to specific uses and car companies model lines aren't deep enough to justify the cost.

The only way I see it happen is with a joint venture aka Ford-Mazda, GM-Toyota, Subaru-Toyota...
A word. LOL

I buy for the 99.9%, not the 0.1%. I will drive this truck every day. I will use the truck bed, I will use the off road of the Tremor for what I will find myself doing. But I don't rock crawl, I'm not crossing rivers. I don't need the baddest off roader out there. If I ever get to a point where I may do serious off roading, I'll reevaluate. But for my lifestyle anything more serious than this is a waste. Like a Raptor that's crying to see its full potential used.

The video states it's a $2,995 add-on to the XLT and Lariat models. So theoretically you can get an XLT Tremor w/ LUX package for $30k on the button, which, for me, is very palatable for what would be a very capable truck.
The sticker on my '22 2.0 AWD XLT without Lux was $27,600. Only other options was trailer hitch ($100) and the HPR paint ($490). So basically $27,000 without those two things.

How are you going to add the $2,995 Tremor package and the Lux package (which was $2,340 IIRC when I ordered mine in October '21) plus the $1,000 price increase for $30,000?

That comes out to around $33,300 the way I figure it.

Exactly
A more capable unibody vehicle that can haul a sofa and still get 25ish MPG on a consistent basis. Decent drive with some giddy up and still relatively affordable. I really like my Alto FX4 but having some upgraded features appeals to me based on the price point.
My money, my decision but I will be considering the Tremor package. Get what works best for you, you are the one laying out the $$$. If you live in milder climates and MPG is a big factor, Tremor make not make sense for you.

Yep, and 33 to 35k is not a bad deal for a capable AWD vehicle that can haul a sofa and 4 people. If I can get one for less than $35k I will be very happy. My opinion, my money, my choice. It’s all good, like I said before, get what works for you and you made a great choice for you.

Anyone know yet if the Tremor package will be considered a production restraint for new orders and for those of us that haven't received our '22 orders yet and are most likely getting our trucks rolled over into a '23?

I live near Houston, so mild climate. But when it rains there's a lot of standing water. I drive 70 round trip highway commute. I want AWD for that. I want Tremor for South Texas hunts and Hill Country camping.

No one really knows much on Tremor. But my money would be on expect a good wait if you get Tremor.

Maybe I'm too dense to understand the point you were trying to make then. Maverick with standard 4 cyl with DCT somehow superior to Bronco Sport with standard 3 cyl and DCT?
