This is a dealer in Kent, Wa with almost 40 new and used Maverick in stock!! This is a reputable dealer and will not add markup on personal order. Dealer stock I’ve seen an ADM from them between 5k to 10k during the shortage.

Funny. I was just looking at all the dealers from kirkland to longview and the coast. Trying to see if a Terrain was on the lot so I can go and look at it. I believe it was Kirkland that had the only one in transit. But yes, quite a few on the lots now it seems. Seem to be more ecopoop😁 AWD models though.

I wonder if they just got a big shipment in of customer orders though. A few of the window stickers were green and said special order on them.

Might be, last night I went past a dealer that had 2 of them sitting in the front row with all the other trucks, didn't stop to see the details, but online it shows 1 2023 AWD Lariat for 35K & was the color of the one I saw. First time I have seen one on a lot.

I placed an order with them for a 2023 way back when the banks first opened in September 2022, but ended up elsewhere. They were happy to "cancel" my order and refund my (I think it was) $50 deposit. Most likely they kept my order on the books and it is one of those ~40. If you see an XL Cactus Gray EcoBoost with 4k and a rear sliding window, might be mine!

EDIT: Geeeeez.....they are all at least XLT trim, and it looked like almost all (if not all) are Hybrid. Interesting.....

Aren't the order banks for MY24 still open? Really hoping the Maverick doesn't go the way of the Honda Element and Toyota FJ Cruiser where after everyone that wanted one got one, there was no one else to sell to.

Hopefully that means more variants are in the pipeline (such as hybrid AWD or PHEV).

Order banks are still open. But I have still seen virtually zero marketing. I think they might start marketing it once they confirm that the demand is dropping/new orders are dropping. Maybe starting with the 2025 model year? Especially since it will be a slight refresh (we hope).

There was a PHEV spotted on the track that one time.

That having been said, I'm seeing a number of fleet Mavericks in my area, most of them with some kind of graphics. So there's a fleet market if nothing else.

If there is significant change to MY25 lariat from MY24 lariat I might trade in. Not for a PHEV though. But I don't think much is going to change for awhile.

Few been sitting on the lot in SW FL, with a $5,000 mark up over sticker. $26,000 XL hybrids for $31,000. How many you want!?!? 😂

I think even with the price increases if Ford would control dealers charging ADM (meaning, eliminate the practice all together) Mavericks would still be hard even with the continual price increases into MY24.

Because the Maverick has proven to be (relatively) dependable, efficient, and utilitarian/versatile the appeal for it is still very much there.

However I think buyers are wising up to ADMs while high interest rates and tightening spending habits so Mavericks sitting with an ADM aren't going to see much of any interest but dealers seem resolute to at least advertise Mavericks with ADMs and force buyers to negotiate painfully.

My wife's Odyssey just turned 75k miles - needs new tires, tranny flush, and brakes flushed at minimum. I've been looking at AWD Hybrid Siennas however we'd be looking around $30k to make the trade ($25k trade if we're lucky, $50-55k vehicle) and having to finance at a high interest rate makes the switch a tough one to make even with double the gas miles.

I bumped into the salesman that sold me my hybrid Lariat and he told me he would gladly take it in trade for the Tremor that is on their lot right now.

I respectfully declined and he laughed. He knows there is no reason for me to get out of that truck.

I really think that come February you are going to see them at MSRP, and even less on EB models. Unfortunately I was against a time frame and paid a bit of a markup with Long McArthur so I could get one. Once I receive the truck I will post about my experience.

They can sit there with the ADM. The dealers are required to pay taxes on unsold inventory. Eventually, they will have to do something to move the iron off the lots, otherwise they will end up selling it for even less of a profit.

Dealers all always list online all the Mavericks they get in as customer orders as if they really have them for sale.
They park them up front for the day or two that it takes for the customer to pick them up.
They have always done this.
This may be that.

They do seem to be getting more truck in though - customer orders, many still from 14 months ago.
