he paid a loan installment to some institution and that bank thinks he owns it.Seems to me, that if you never took delivery, it has not been purchased. You should call a lawyer. I feel for you. Good luck with this.

My ecoboost has been doing that for two years now (every blue moon or so). I'm convinced my finger is brushing some steering wheel or key fob button. But for the life of me, can't figure it out. There are threads on the double beep. I think one had instructions for turning it off. Some convenience feature.Own a 23 XLT Hybrid which is in the backup recall, backup does freeze but not very often and for a very short time so I don't notice it much. Mine has done some weird electronics recently though, it will honk the horn twice when I start the car or open the door to leave after turning it off. Hasn't happened enough to say anything to the dealer just weird. Makes one wonder how well the software will perform in a few years.
We couldn’t get an exact answer either. We wound up getting a 2025 after waiting so longWe purchased a 2024 maverick in November, we went back in December to do the down payment and set up loan stuff . When we first talked with the dealer they said there is a recall but we could drive it home in December when we pick up up . We did all the paperwork they took our down payment and after we signed everything and we were on the hook they said we couldn’t take the truck because now it’s a safety recall preventing us from taking the truck but the update is being worked on and should be a week or two . We have made the first payment and still no truck . Now they are saying could be as late as March . We are going angry and tired of the frustration now we hear of other problems plaguing this truck . We love the concept we love the design but we are ready for almost anything else . When I asked if we already owned one and you brought it it they would keep it because of the safety recall . So don’t bring in your truck till they have a fix . Where are everyone else at ?
Good point.he paid a loan installment to some institution and that bank thinks he owns it.
But the dealer didn't stop the sale. The paperwork is signed, and the OP made the down payment and is making payments on the loan. The camera recall is a stop sale, so that would be what's holding up OP from getting their truck
Right, which is obviously an F up on the dealers side(how they're gonna make it right is another convo). I was just answering to the person I replied to what the recall was since they seemed like they were under the impression that wouldn't cause OPs issueBut the dealer didn't stop the sale. The paperwork is signed, and the OP made the down payment and is making payments on the loan.
My hunch is the dealer is trying to hide their mistake from Ford. But the dealer didn't stop the sale. The paperwork is signed, and the OP made the down payment and is making payments on the loan.
That does seem fishy. If it was a stop sale, then there should never have been a sale or taking your money. If they did take your money but then stopped delivery, that's a different subject now.My hunch is the dealer is trying to hide their mistake from Ford.
That makes sense. My hunch is the dealer is trying to hide their mistake from Ford.
The dealership already has his Maverick.OP needs to tell them they need to get him a loaner and he will bring the truck back. Confirm what the loaner is before arriving and do not give them the keys until you have the loaner.
sorry, I got this thread confused with the guy who bought a 2024 xlt tremor and took delivery. The dealership already has his Maverick.

The dealership was required to not sell the truck, but they sold it to him, anyway. I think he has a pretty good case for either having possession of his truck or else reversing the sale.the OP in this thread has no recourse.
