Ford has recently recalled over 550,000 vehicles, including 63,898 2025 Ford Mavericks, due to airbag and structural issues that could increase the risk of crashes and injuries. Affected owners will be notified by mail starting June 9, 2025, and can take their vehicles to a Ford dealership for free repairs.

This is the same recall for 2025 Maverick's passenger airbag light that should be old news on here . Only affects initial '25 production of the Maverick (63898 vehicles) some still unsold and not deliverable until fixed.

And take a chance on getting your interior destroyed! 😁

Not much risk IMO from what I've read on the other thread about this, sounds like maybe just a couple of clips on the air vent duct housing panel.

This thread's initial post had me thinking about a conversation yesterday. I was talking with a friend about how two journalists can take the same set of facts and make completely different stories. Same with this recall.

Person "A". "The sky is falling. Incompetent, evil, low quality Ford has once again recalled airbags. All our lives are in danger and Ford products are garbage".

Person "B". "Ford found a pretty trivial technicality in an airbag clip and is recalling to repair out of an abundance of caution".

Same facts, completely different narratives.
