Maverick hybrid recall

I went by my dealership today to check about a recall notice. My notice mentioned something about grill or radiator. The service guy something about a skid plate too. Any way it's going to be about the middle of November before they can look at the truck. I've got 2000 miles , getting 43.8 mpg. I get slot of attention when I'm out, cyber orange I guess.

They should only drill holes and remove 2 flaps from the shutters.

4 flaps. Two from the upper grille, two from the lower.

To be fair a good part of the big thread on the issue is taken up by the people furiously Karening that their Maverick's engine is destined to explode and Ford is covering it up. And yet I haven't seen anyone credibly report a hybrid engine failure other than one post (can't remember if here or reddit) that claimed their engine had to be replaced and then never elucidated further.

No replacement parts required. The recall on mine was taken care of by my dealer today while getting the oil changed. They said it took all of 15 minutes to complete the recall.

They should only drill holes and remove 2 flaps from the shutters.

Had my Hybrid in for the Recall, they drilled holes in the shield under the truck and they removed all 4 of the shutters on the bottom row

The dealership should be reviewing the vehicle information when its received to see if they need to do any recall repairs before delivery to you. I know this is SOP at mine.

Does anyone know if newly delivered hybrid Maverick trucks have missing shutters and holes drilled in the pan on the bottom?

I understand that the dealer will be verifying all recalls are completed before delivering the truck.

I assume at some point the shutters will remain and no holes will be required in the pan on the bottom.
