Ford Maverick is a small pickup so why do they have it in the mid size category?
Probably because there is no compact category. Can you imagine having a mid size truck and a compact truck having better quality lol

I am hoping this little microcosim of spirited and vocal Mav owners are not reflective of the overall ownership experience. This is where the few, the vocal, the sometimes shrill and whiny can vent.

If not, the Mav will have a lifetime shorter than this vehicle.

I think this is vocal few. If it was a true dumpster fire there would be at least one class action lawsuit. Also, most of the gripes here are wig the order process in general, not usually with the vehicle itself

I call BS, as we say in Yankee land. there’s no way a Jeep product has fewer issues than a Ford or anything else.

I’m trying to remember, but can’t. Please remind me of the last time 2 people got a gold medal for the same event.
The one I remember is from the Tokyo Olympics….

oh august 3, 2021 "

Two Olympians matched their opponents’ mark at nearly 7 feet, 8 inches in the high jump finals in Tokyo — both will take home a gold medal.

Qatar’s Mutaz Essa Barshim and Italy’s Gianmarco Tamberi decided to split the honor after each failed to make it over the bar.— which could have led to a jump off. The pair missed the 7-feet, 10-inch mark three times after clearing the bar.

Barshim asked an official if it was possible to end the competition in a tie, The Associated Press (AP) reported. The official said it could be, and his fellow competitor and friend agreed to the conclusion.

“I still can’t believe it happened,” Tamberi said, according to The AP. “Sharing with a friend is even more beautiful … It was just magical.”

The Pinto had many less deaths versus the GM trucks that had the side saddle gas tanks.

" The non-profit Center for Auto Safety estimated that more than 300 people have died in side-crash fires in GM trucks since 1973. Twenty-seven people died during the 1970s in fuel tank fires in the Ford Pinto."

Check your car for recalls
Easy recall checker

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration offers a site where you enter a car’s VIN and it will tell you if there are any recalls that apply to that specific car and have *not* been handled already.

and lest we forget
Toyota-made vehicles accelerating suddenly. In April 2010, the government fined Toyota a record $16.4 million for waiting too long to initiate a recall. The complaints are tied to at least 93 deaths.

all for something as stupid as a floor mat

Which one lasted in the market longer? That was the point of my thread. But thanks for the enlightenment, just another reason I really never ever wanna own a GM product.

As soon as they put any Jeep product high in a quality rating, I know the results were bought and paid for by that manufacturer. They are always near the bottom of every single Consumer Report quality rating.
