Any quality model kits of Maverick trucks yet?

I just did a search for model kits and all that came up were the '70 era cars. Any kits that anyone knows of available yet?

The only models I am aware of are the hot wheels and matchbox. With its popularity I am hopeful a proper model will be coming.

It's very rare to find plastic scale models of new vehicles these days. AMT has a nice one of the current Bronco, but it's a curbside kit (no opening hood or engine detail). That's probably the closest thing to a Maverick on offer, and it's not close to a Maverick at all.

To bad the model industry aint like it used to be.. not many late model kits out there, or even the quality.

When I was a kid.... belonged to the Revell monthly model club. They would send you 3 random models a month. The only problem was, was that they always included cheap plane or ship kits with a car model. Ended up droping them and just going down to the hobby section and buy what I wanted.. Like the Snake and Mongoose Funny cars, Munsters , or even a transparent electric motorized working V8 and Wankel engines for a few.

Back in the late 60's and 70's, you could go into a hobby section of about any large retail store and had 2-4 isles of low to high, easy to hard, and motorized models to choose from. Not to mention the 100's of available Testor paint colors and tools to chose from too! Loved it as a kid.... would work on them all weekend on/off when not shooting marbles/playing some form of ball, or just hanging out with friends. Love watching the late night creature features and paint preping and/or puting one together!

Last one I built was a 66 Shelby Cobra metal body Revell model in '97 (see pics). Made it look just like my LA Exotic 66 Cobra Replica kitcar I built in '96. Spent a month painting and building it to look just like it..... on my kitcar went with a rebuilt '72 351W/Borg Warner T5/Mustang II rack instead of the super rare expensive 428 Side Oiler/Toploader 4spd setup with real knockoff hubs (which I also didnt use on my replica dueto cost). Those were the days!

If you are into 3D printing, Thingiverse has an STL file to print a 2025 Maverick Lobo. It includes a full interior, chassis and wheels. Or you could adapt it to go onto the Bronco kit currently available from AMT. The STL is, I believe, 1/24th scale, but the sweet thing about 3D printing is that you can easily scale it up or down to fit your desires.
