Prius. lol
Yes funny, no relationship to a Maverick. But the battery in a old Prius chemistry is different, It can take charge with a core heat much higher than the Chemistry in the the Maverick. i have the used Prius for a few years and its 130,000+ first time its been this hot for long enough to trigger a no charge protection. Most should have had their cell phone refused to charge due to heat, at least here in Texas by now. i felt fine (cool) in almost all times my phone refused to charge, my phone is a wimp, can’t even take normal Texas Hot Summer, or Fall or Spring. Our Mavericks Chemistry is almost Identical to our phones. Its a wimp.

Happy to report no drop in fuel mileage in the hot sun. Starts at 109, but cools to about 88-90 with the windows down. The white paint makes it tolerable and the hybrid mileage remains excellent. Most trips start with a stop-and-swim at the nearby pool. It's swim trunks season! 🏊‍♂️ A glass of ice water in the console. Much less AC required in the summer until I get on the highway.😎

People talk about fuel mileage with AC and Heat usage. I find adjusting my own temp at lot more effective.

Just In Case you are not aware! The rear privacy glass has NO-NADA-ZILCH UV REFLECTION! Need ceramic on them also!
I am 99.9% sure this is incorrect.

Glass, all glass absorbs MOST UV.
This is why it takes a really long time to get a sun burn in a car. Even with zero tinting. Let's round off and say "regular" glass blocks 90% of UV.

People add coatings to bolster it from 90% to near 100%.

I am enjoying my Ceramic Window Tint here In Texas! Have all but windshield covered. Thinking the 5% Ceramic windshield also would have been worth it's $80(?).
Ceramic reflects 99% UV (heat!) from entering through windows.
Does it feel that much cooler when you get in the truck compared to pre tint?

Yes, still hot but seems to not require max AC and cools down quicker. Thermopane replacement glass for windows in my home came with inside/outside indicators due to reflection. Would have to before and after measure of course to see how much. I did put max Texas 35% on front doors and 20% on entire rear privacy glass both were ceramic. I could place my mavericks side by side in sunlight with remote temp sensors and watch from my recliner. Will have to reverse them in trucks and average as side by side in my six recliner TV room they are 1.2°F apart which drives wife crazy but I did put red dot green dot markers on them.

Oops said nada-zilch-UV NOT nada-zilch-IR
Ford privacy gets 98% of sunburning UV whereas ceramic reflects varing amounts of IR depending on manufacturing. Need to block IR for heat.

These window umbrellas I got help a lot.

I looked at hose but it leaves the rear view mirror exposed to the sun. My dash cam is on the mirror and I want to protect that from the sun too.

Are you looking to get a Maverick specific one so there is a cut out for the rearview?

We wouldn't have survived our 3 days in Texas without it. Visited my dad, he kept telling me all the great things about. I just kept thinking there is no way in hell Maui will ever be 100 degrees at midnight!🥵
It’s a perfect 76 right now in Oahu at 8:37 PM

Totally agree. I have the ability on Ford Pass app on my phone in emergency but would rather do it quicker via the keyfob. People are just getting dummied down to not know how to do anything without apps. There have been several instances over the years where an entire wireless network has gone down, so good luck starting car, opening door to house, and everything else they do via apps. I like to keep my hands on approach just incase the world goes into shut down like the NBC TV series Revolution. Just saying it could happen!!! LOL
I don't drive my hybrid enough, so it goes into deep sleep mode every so often. Being an old fart, I just reach into my pocket and hit the unlock button on the key fob when grabbing the door handle does not work.

I have typically been frozen out of my Maverick ecoboost in the heat on long drives. Not 110 plus but high 90s with high humidity in the Southeast. I thought I would want some ceramic tint, but not feeling the need now after a two months of ownership.

But it's a dry heat lol

I'm seriously considering a career change and moving to the SW. I've been in FL now for about 9 years in total. The summers are miserable. And its too crowded. I'll take 110° temps with 20% humidity over 98° temps and 70% humidity any day.

I've yet to get ceramic tint on my Mav but I do have reflective windshield and front side window sun shades. It makes a huge difference when I have to park outside at work. They are Sunshield brand. Spendy but are well make and fit great.

I also installed a Start-X remote starter on my XLT hybrid. Push the lock-unlock-lock buttons and a few seconds later it starts up. It's super easy to install and works great. I can't have my phone at work (it's a SCIF) so no FordPass.
