On a lighter note…Walmart is showing what a great company they are once again by closing its stores on Thanksgiving so all the self checker outers can have the day off with their families.

Wow This Thread has really jumped around. The Bubble in my opinion is gone. I have let people drive my first MAV 2022. at the price and bang per buck they ordered them and love em. Me Being Greedy. Sold my 22 online. Order two more 23 sold one kept one. Put the second one up online . Break even money offered Still best bang per buck. I have a 2024 on order It has a build date of Nov 18. I am not taking it. But I don't want the dealer to take it either. It will be deliver in dallas I dont want a dime if anyone wants it i will post when its there. It a XL Hybrid blue. I love my white 23.

I had to wait a long time for my 23 XL and even if the bubble has popped I still think I got a fair price after xplan. I have to imagine it's still tough to buy a hybrid at MSRP these days. perhaps the markup is less now, though? I don't really know.

Yes . I waited o full year for my 23 White XL. Got it on the 21 Sept. I about fell over when I got the email the 24 Mav was coming in Nov. I think the order banks are still open and to me that is a major indicator the Bubble is popped

I think part of it is the price increase.

The feedback from people who have seen my truck is generally positive but I get the sense they'd have a hard time swallowing the price to get all of the creature comforts they want (heated this and that, better display, leather surfaces, etc).

I think the reality is that if you can live without that stuff the 23 with xplan was still a great deal. After everything I was just over $24k. That's an xl with hitch, including delivery, title fee and doc fee. Getting a hybrid or a truck for this price is already good. Getting both is great.

The 24 though.... I dunno with these higher prices.

OP i was the same way - had a 22 hybrid that I tried to make money on - dealer wasn't even close on trade in and said it was 'morally wrong' of them to sell above sticker (yet they're fine with financing used cars at 10%) - had over 100 views on kijiji and not a single response

I've decided to keep mine - can't beat the gas mileage + the peace of mind knowing its new and under warranty and you are maintaining it to your standards

I might be interested but all the Dallas area dealers I contacted this week all had mark ups or add ons. One dealer had $10k-12k in add ons.

I never bought my Tremor with the idea I would flip it for a profit.

However, my 23 Tremor XLT + lux and moonroof cost me $31,300. That same truck in 2024 is $38k MSRP.

That YoY price increase should insulate me pretty well as my Maverick ages. I'll never see a profit on it but as long as I take good care of it I expect it to maintain a pretty decent trade in and/or resale value.

But I don't plan on selling it anytime soon.

I have a 24 hybrid on order from a small dealer and don’t anticipate it any time soon. Sold my 22 for a little more than I paid. Didn’t really need it at the time. Things changed and I picked up a used Ridgeline RTLE. I have to admit it’s rides and drives so much nicer then the Maverick. The creator comforts have spoiled me. Getting 25-26 mpg compared to 27-28 with the Maverick eco. Not sure what I’ll do when/if my Hybrid comes in.

Some anecdotal evidence, I actually saw a Maverick on the lot at my local Ford dealership. I've been checking their site listings every few weeks, and dealer markup went from $5k over MSRP to $3k over within the last month. So, things have cooled a little bit at least.

I see several BS discounted as well.

I think it may be unfortunately, for EcoBoost model anyway. I wanted to trade my 2023 for the 2024 I have ordered but now I may be stuck with it. Prices from Carvana, Vroom, etc., are way down over the past month and my dealer does not seem to even have an interest in it. Only has a thousand miles on it too.

I was figuring on taking a 10% hit off MSRP but now it looks more like 20%. We might have his and hers Mavericks after all but one of the vehicles in the household has to go.

The demand will be huge for a plug-in hybrid. I really wanted that! I had it all worked out where I could charge my battery while I worked out - there's a FREE charging location nearby - and not have to pay for a drop of gas or kWh of electricity since the 30 miles/charge accommodates my work/ exercise commute.

Can you believe that? Free electricity to promote ev's!

...but for how long?

The majority of that "free electricity" is still produced with fossil fuels.
