To get the 2023 model in a reasonable amount of time, you would have to find the exact day dealerships will begin taking orders, find the earliest opening dealership in your entire state, go there and camp out like people do on black friday, and SPRINT to the nearest salesman once the doors open and hand him your build sheet and the $500 deposit.

And then hope Ford gives the ordering dealer an allocation for the maverick you ordered.

Better go to the BIGGEST dealer you can.

@fordvideoguy Do you think Ford will give people an option of pushing their order to MY23. Perhaps something like a request to use a special priority code as say 23. This will allow some late orders, who had to select the eco but really want the hybrid to make those changes during the MY23 review time with their dealers and not lose their place in line before all new MY23 orders.

I know this is still far in the future, but I hope Ford does not do the mistake and will build new MY23 orders before the old ones that have been moved from MY22 to MY23. I keep my fingers crossed... but then again, I keep my fingers crossed every Thursday. So there is that

Yeah, OK. But it doesn't really make any difference to the end result. That's about how many Mavericks Ford has been making, more or less, each month since all this started. So, the totals for the model year that we've been discussing in this thread won't change. You're still looking at roughly 60,000 Mavericks produced for MY22.

Does anybody know how much of the allocation is sent to Canada out of the 65K built?

If you go down the list of the MTC order list you'll see the highest VIN number is a little over 63,000 for units scheduled through April. Although there is certainly higher VIN numbers out there, if we just use 63k as the base for this calculation, we're already over the the 50k order estimate. So if we use 5,400 units per month for May through December there would be at least 106,000 total orders scheduled in MY22. To estimate the total units ordered we would have to add the existing orders (unknown) that Ford won't be able to build in MY22. I have previously posted before about these numbers and believe the total will end up being 110,000-125,000 Maverick orders to date.

FYI, as of December 31, 2021 Hermosillo built 159,920 Total units in 2021 which 25,880 were Mavericks. 366 Mavericks in June and July with the balance of 25,514 in the last five months of 2021.

While I agree with others that Ford is under no obligation to disclose how many actual orders they have, you do have to ask.....why don't they? They certainly were quick to point out last year that they had met or exceeded 100,000 reservations. What is different? The answer to that is - they are trying to keep as many people on the hook as possible, waiting on their trucks. If they actually disclosed true order numbers and the obvious fact that many, many more will be waiting a year or more, it would make people bolt and affect their actual sales and stock price. There are a LOT of folks who cannot afford to wait that long. If this is Ford's new and only way of doing business, I would not be investing in their stock.

I think everything you said is true for normal times and normal markets. It's just that the supply and demand is so unbalanced right now. In my opinion if every single current order was cancelled and the books were reopened, the Maverick would sell out again in a month. The professional and average Joe reviews are off the charts on how amazing this vehicle is.

Thanks CG for actually reading my post. I posted this a month ago today and sometime before that. These are HARD numbers, not assumptions. And as you say, this has nothing to do with Reservations. The first time I posted this a member tried to say the Bronco Sport VINs were included and another said Ford "skips" vin numbers . . . simply NOT TRUE! Vin numbers are assigned to "ORDERS" that are scheduled to be built. No, these sequential numbers are NOT the order of the production line (I and many other have explained this). It's just simple 4th grade math.

I think the number being thrown around is 80-100,000 RESERVATIONS not orders. Because people reserved but didn't convert to an order. We have 900 reservations but 500 orders.

Using math on your numbers results in this:

500 orders / 900 reservations gives us 55.56% reservations to actual orders.

80,000 reservations at 55.56% is 44,444 orders
and 100,000 reservations at 55.56% is 55,555 orders

While the total for South America for MY22 is under 1,000 - I suspect it will be considerably higher for MY23. Sales in Brazil and Argentina are opening up and they will be produced out of the Hermosillo plant. However it is my understanding from the website that they will all be Ecoboost.

If a Vin number already exists that is over 63,000 for units to be built (reference post by Watchman), it seems orders must be greater than 63,000. Now, what we do not know are how many orders exist that do not yet have build dates???
