I'm on the same ride with you.
Ordered 22, rolled into 23, and then 24.
And now a strike.
Ordered so long-ago Ford discontinued my original color choice (Area 51).

Now how is it that some get theirs and some don't? The weirdness of our present days knows no bounds. I ordered a XLT in October '21 and that took 18 months. A year into that I wanted to change my order and couldn't so I ordered an additional Lariat (I was able to save during the wait) . THAT took only six months. Recently I totaled the Lariat so I'm starting all over again with another order. The strike messed up any projections so I'm in limbo.
I can't imagine how stressed you are at this wait.

I have both colors and like them equally.

My neighbor has a cactus gray BS and there's a CG maverick down the street from me. CG is ok, but I just prefer something with a bit more flair to it.

I'm the odd man out on this forum, because I very much dislike Area 51. I love Cactus Grey - it's really sharp and makes the Maverick design pop more than any other color I've seen. I've seen most of the Maverick colors on the road. But colors are totally subjective. The mass of owners on this forum are in love with Area 51, so I'm definitely swimming against the current.

May I ask why you don't like Area 51? I hated the color in promotional pics and vids when it first came out. Most made the color look really drab and gray. But IRL, it pops and looks amazing. It direct sunlight,it has this sexy powder blue look, and user overcast, it's a rich teal. I'm not a fan of colors that are gray with like a drop of color added in, thankfully, you'd never mistake Area 51 for a flat gray under most lighting conditions.

Yeah, I think that's Alto blue and the one shown below off-roading appears to be CG.

me too and they're not that similar.

cactus grey and avalanche grey are extremely similar. and both of those greys in very bright sunshine could be mistaken for white.

My Maverick if FINALLY scheduled for 9/25...next week!!! I ordered an A51....I then got an email that said A51 was discontinued. There's a new Metallic Azure Grey that is supposed to replace it. It's very nice, looking like a metallic A51. I was notified that it was a $550 optional color, which I was willing to pay...BUT..... I got a production
"Image" that looks like A51....
....BUT I haven't got a "window sticker yet..!! I'm gonna have one of the last 23' production weeks. I'll end up saving a out $2500- $3000 bucks having a 23' but I'm kinda clueless about color until my sticker shows up.... Is A51 gonna be in production until the 24' model year???
