  1. Smooth Tailgate

    Very cool
  2. It's such a awesome vehicle - I don't understand any of the complaints.

Had my XLT Hybrid since July 2022, absolutely LOVE IT. Has a lot of great features. Terrific gas mileage. Plastic dash is so much easier to clean than a textured leatherette type dash, it's very comfortable on long trips. I find the stereo clear and loud, don't even usually have volume above...
  3. What is the purpose of the gap in the truck bed?

    Mine doesn't leak either.
  4. Rear visability

  5. What is this information for?

Yes it is a safety feature for the people that leave kids in back of vehicle. It basically tells which doors have been opened (unfortunately it shows when I put shopping in back seat too). I can't find way to get it turned off in dash options either. I think because they don't want people to...
  6. Replaced my windshield 3.5 times already. Bad luck or Bad Design/Engineering?

I've found I get more rocks hit if I'm further back. If I'm closer most rocks don't hit road and bounce up onto my truck. I've had about 3 hits with rocks, touch wood nothing major. Now if it's dump truck I stay way back as you can watch rocks falling out of tailgate.
  7. Maverick Hybrid Road Tripping!! Almost 2k mile road trip review.

My Yeti travel cup was mailed to me from Ford after I completed side airbag recall. I thought maybe they were all long gone by now as it took 7 months from taking to dealer to check if mine needed the fix until they performed the fix.
  8. Maverick Hybrid Road Tripping!! Almost 2k mile road trip review.

Any chiropractor will tell men not to use back pocket wallets. It puts your back out of kilter.
  9. Maverick Hybrid Road Tripping!! Almost 2k mile road trip review.

Did you have truck on eco setting to get that mileage?
  10. My Hybrid finally arrived

Looks great, you will love it. My hybrid took 13 months, so I applaud your patience. I have a padded steering wheel cover and was pleasantly surprised when it heated up by itself. last winter. I noticed last week when we had a cold spell the seats & steering wheel came on with remote start...
  11. Senior citizen Maverick owners thread

That could be because being older we don't wish to pay more for a vehicle than we did our first houses!!! I don't live in mine, but sure enjoy driving it.
  12. Senior citizen Maverick owners thread

HaHa It's near the light switch control to left of steering wheel. I went months before I had to get my 1st tank of gas. Enjoy your Maverick. I'm 69 had my truck since July 2022.
  13. MY23 Maverick XLT Visibility sucks!

I agree, my last vehicle would shudder & brake when going round a slight bend in the road as lane keep sensors thought oncoming vehicles were in my lane!! I also would try the sensitivity when no cars in sight and it wouldn't detect I was going out of my lane. I prefer to use my eyes, turn my...
  14. Why don't Hybrids get more love?

I feel that when we finally have all vehicles, semi's, planes, garden equipment, tools, heating, water heaters, stoves, etc, all become electric we are then going to have major problems only have one source for those things. We will also have rolling blackouts on a regular basis like CA & FL...
  15. DIY Bed Extender

What type of ladder is that? It looks great.
  16. Added Remote Start with Start-X for just $99

I agree. The younger generation pretty much are fee'd to death with all these apps & subscriptions. They really start to add up, but they seem to think nothing of fees.
  17. Added Remote Start with Start-X for just $99

I already read an article that vehicle manufacturers are going to start charging a monthly fee to utilize your keyfob to remote start/unlock. Hey the airlines got away with charging for hold baggage when many said they wouldn't do that. They saw the millions the one airline that started this...
  18. what is this rolled up thing?

yeh I found that too LOL
  19. Thoughts on XL vs XLT?

Me too! I figured this would probably be last vehicle I purchase, and plan to make it last. So the XLT has everything I need and probably more. I didn't want to regret not having features I've been used to over the years. I love the interior and the wheels and am so happy with my Maverick.
