I am so bad at recognizing the Mav. colors.
All this time I have been thinking that the truck on the MTC opening page is my color,
Cactus gray.
Now I’m thinking it is Area 51.?
I’m just trying to take my mind off of not getting the coveted scheduling email
yesterday.

me too and they're not that similar.

cactus grey and avalanche grey are extremely similar. and both of those greys in very bright sunshine could be mistaken for white.

Gray is the color. That's what I was taught. People tend to interchange the two.

Ah ... looks different from phone i guess.
It's either Grey or Gray .... it's a gray area.
But not a gray area 51 (haha I crack me up).

Grey and gray are two different spellings of the same word. Gray is more common in the U.S., while grey is more common in other English-speaking countries. In proper names—like Earl Grey tea and the unit Gray, among others—the spelling stays the same, and they need to be memorized.

In the unlikely event that I get a 23, it will be 51; otherwise I opted for cactus. FYI, I have the same issue. But now we have other fish to fry. Like the UAW strike & the Teamsters support.

I'm the odd man out on this forum, because I very much dislike Area 51. I love Cactus Grey - it's really sharp and makes the Maverick design pop more than any other color I've seen. I've seen most of the Maverick colors on the road. But colors are totally subjective. The mass of owners on this forum are in love with Area 51, so I'm definitely swimming against the current.

I always remember it as "grAy in America, grEy in England". Basically the difference of color vs colour.
