I guess you have far more mechanical experience than most people then, I wouldn't have a clue what 150 foot pounds feels like. It's either tight or it not. :ROFLMAO:
I just tightened it, worry for a day, then forget about it till this very moment

i can’t rest until I check lugnut torque and air pressure on the tires on any of my vehicles if anything has been changed. I also check the air pressure on the tires on all my vehicles 4x a year with each season. I’m just anal that way.... I’ve even given up on paying to have my tires rotated. The last time I had my Raptor tires rotated I brought it home and checked just one wheel. 1 nut was probably 200+, a couple were close to correct, 1 might have been 80 and 1 lugnut was literally a half inch from even touching the wheel. Now I just take the time and put the vehicles up on one of my lifts and just do it myself so I know it’s right...

A few years back, I took my car to a tire shop to have all four balanced. When I picked it up, I got my torque wrench out of the trunk and checked every lug nut. A few were OK, but the majority were over or under. A guy came out of the shop and asked, "What the hell are you doing?" I didn't even look up. "Just checking." I never went back there, so they are probably still just hitting them with an air wrench and moving on to the next one.

I do it a little different. I loosen the lugs and tighten them by hand. Still crank on them but no where near the specs. That way I can remove them if I need to on the road to change a tire. Never had a problem with any of my vehicles doing this.
There are probably long term problems for undertorquing aside from the possibility of losing a wheel

I've had my F250 since 96 and my Nissan since 2012 and no problems. I do crank them down with the 4 way lug wrench pretty good. Just not more than I can loosten. Maybe it is close to torque? I've had cars in the past that were a bitch to get off. That's why I do it before I have to on the side of the road.

150 ft-lbs is pretty close to star-tight, tighten till you see stars.

The friction of the wheel against the hub is what keeps the wheel on, not the strength of the lugs.

I just count the ugas when I'm using the uga duga to take them off. 6 ugas to loosen, then 6 ugas to tighten back up.

150ft/lbs does seem high to me. My heavy VW Touareg (which also has M14-1.5) only has a spec of 118ft/lbs. The Touareg is about 1000lbs heavier than a Maverick, has a torquier motor and heavier tow capacity. Granted, they are lug bolts, not nuts. Maybe that's the difference?

Reminder to Check your Lug Nut Torque. Especially for new owners. Not checked for the first 100 days here, 2140 miles. They all needed torque, I set my wrench at 147 ft lbs. 21mm lug nuts. Might be 148 ft lbs...

Just got back from the Ford Dealer for something unrelated (user error). The Dealership did not check the lug nuts. I finally check them after that and tightened all.

I remember reading an Ian Fleming novel and he is describing the hero trying to change a wheel and finding that the wheel nuts had been tightened by a mechanic with a 'spider and a grudge', back in the days before impact wrenches!
