I do, I will be 68 in February but still push my vehicles to the point of sliding if I can see thru the corner and will not risk anyone's safety.

Very difficult to go from my modified cars to the Maverick, trying to make it handle and grip as well as is reasonably possible.

I regularly go from cars I can barely get in and out of with a harness (I drive my track cars on the street as much as I can) to the Maverick without an issue. I guess I just don't see it.

I bet they do not. Most street cars I see have wide tires levered on to narrow rims. Few understand that effect on sidewall roll and flex. Then ask them about negative camber or control arm bushing flex.

I am just referencing a wider wheel and stickier tires. I am not speaking to sidewall, flex, offset, etc. Most street cars are stock.

Sure, everyone has different expectations and driving styles. I would rather not drive a truck at all but as a homeowner it became necessary. A winding road or highway ramp is wasted without a good handling vehicle. I have three motorcycles and three cars with good suspension and sticky tires, the Maverick is a fine truck but I want to enjoy every drive.

Perilli P zero tires and Konig rims. I have no photos as I do not make these changed for appearance. I spend far more time driving my vehicles than looking at them, so performance is by far the most important consideration.
I agree with the sentiment, but by " car like" what else have you done other than tires to get to that very vague end goal? I'm personally very happy after lowering on eibach springs. I'm sure there's more I could do to improve handling, but I have turbo and downpipe stuff to do first

If I wanted a race car, I'd buy a race car. At this time I wanted utility, economy and some versatility. As it happens, I also have a motorcycle and a Miata so I'm all set. BTW, I'd say my Maverick handles quite well, not sloppy at all. Some complain about the "lack of feel" in the steering but I've have electric assist in previous vehicles and I'm used to it. Small price to pay for the benefits.

Here's some pics of an actual Maverick performance front brake package I'm putting together to share with the Maverick community. It's a work in progress delayed by cold weather.

Now..now...To be fair "Racerzz" 68 may still be using a PC. He may not own a cellphone or has no idea how to post pictures from one. Hence his reluctance. It explains his replies.

I decided to brave the cold for a bit and brought these indoors to test assemble. It's a bolt-on kit I'm working on for Maverick pickups. I'll test fit them in February.

I thought there may be a few, and I know it would be very few as this is a truck forum, who would benefit from my experience. There are a few of us who value performance over appearance, but of course there will always be the sarcastic replies.
You would be surprised. Many of us are into performance stuff. I went with larger tires for off road as I use it to hunt a lot. But I also am thinking of purchasing another for track use during hpde days and maybe some endurance stuff.

I actually am thinking of tacking the rims and tires off my focus rs this spring putting those on and doing sway bar quick for a weekend of track use.
I did take a few laps with my current tires. After climbing out of my Mazda rotary cars and into the maverick the trq seems amazing. Lol Some of the big uphills and slow tight corners at gratten made it fun knowing I was not struggling coming out of the corners.

It's awaiting a few parts on the engine build. You should see it active again this year.

My land requres 4x4/AWD and grippy tires about 30% of the time. Since my Mav is going to be my daily and I will tow with its 4k pkg, I can't slam it with wide slicks. Heck, even my 7' tall F-350 Superdoodie air dam bottomed out on my land. So it's the late '80's compact 4x4 truck look I'm going for. It's just the right size and height for my replacent joints. 😆
