Has anyone had Krown rustproofing applied to their maverick and was there any issues with sensors and with the dealer not wanting to warranty repairs because of the Krown application.

I live in the rustbelt, with lots of snow and calcium cloride, urea, salt and salt solution used on winter roads. These solutions eat even stainless steel pretty quickly. I've previously tried hard undercoating, rubberized undercoating, engine oil and later used transmission oil undercoating, lanolin-based products and 3 vehicles with those pricey and fake electronic modules on previous vehicles. Since I look after and keep my vehicles for a lot of years, rust in this environment is a key concern. The factory zinc primer and zinc-coated steel is insufficient. I've had Krown for about 2.5 years now. At this point there is zero rust, even in the open channels at the rear wheels. Krown creeping spray-in is the only one that I could find who warranted their product as safe for high-voltage electrics. So far I'm a happy customer, but maybe ask again how its working out in 10 more years.

Exactly, I have had the Krown application done 3 times now June 23 (new) June 24, June 25. No issues at all from the Krown Actually what sold me on the Krown was the 10 yr old Kia Soul that I was driving, had been done every year for 10 years. The tech that replaced the exhaust pipe was very surprised and showed me how clean and rust free the car was (even being a Kia).
My dealer did have the option for the electronic thingy, but also had a deal with the Krown franchise'

Had the "electronic thingy" on my previous vehicle ('09 Escape Hybrid), and was not impressed at all with it. I went with Krown on my new '23 Escape PHEV and '25 Maverick Hybrid Lariat. The only thing I hate is the overspray, but that's on me for not cleaning properly after the waiting period.

I had Krown do my 2023 Escape and so far, no problems. They recently did my 2025 Maverick ,and so far no problems. The "other" side of their building is their maintenance shop. I use and trust their work. (and the owner is a neighbor of mine!!!) Next time I go in I will ask him about this warranty issue.

Thanks for the link and with this more information.
Basically, as long as the Krown tech doesnt spray the Ford sensor intake on top your gas tank, you're golden with Krown.
This sensor seems to have a fine screen mesh, so if oil on sensor mesh screen attracts lots of dirt, it clogs the mesh screen.

A rag with isopropyl alcohol will probably clean this sensors screen mesh and work like new. That requires a thinking tech

I had Krown applied to my 2024 Maverick last spring for the first time as I too live in the rust belt .-No Issues. The application was done by their lead technician as the owner said he knows where to apply to get at areas without drilling any holes. I have been using Krown on my vehicles for years.
Krown is the only rustproofing that CAA (AAA) approves.

You Canadians absolutely MUST have some type of fluidic film application used on all your vehicles or they'll rust out within 10 years! Here on the Ohio/Michigan border we don't get it as bad BUT it's still bad. I have my 2014 Silverado treated by "RuctChek" which is comparable to Krown. Mainly because the closest service center is in Sandusky Ohio, so it's only an hour drive for me. Other than the mess AND the few times you may have to get under the car to do anything, I am totally sold on this stuff. My truck will be 13 years old this fall and there is ZERO rust anywhere on it. Chevys are known for rotting out quickly and mine will stay looking like new for several decades! I do plan on getting this application done to my Maverick this summer when I get it. Not sure where the closest Krown service center is to me ....... I think there's one in Windsor. Hey, If they ever open up the new Gordie Howe bridge, that will give me a reason to dross it !!!!

Have used both, Rust Check is better. Red for inside panels and green on exterior.

Cheers.
