Infotainment system issues are one of the most common complaints with new vehicles, regardless of brand/model.
Yes, the article said it is the top issue again, but I'm looking for more detail for Ford. Is it half the issues? 3/4? Matters a lot because I know the infotainment issues and I can accept it. I don't necessarily know other defects people might complain about.

Ford started getting out of Mazda in 2008, and sold their last portion in the company in 2015. They never completely owned the company, just a portion of the stock. Joint ventures included the Probe/ MX6, Ranger/ Courier and Escape/ Tribute. IMHO, I think Mazda is now much better off. Go test-drive a Mazda3 and tell me why you'd spend the extra money for almost any European sport sedan.
I see I see.
Honestly, I have only heard amazing things about Mazdas from anyone who has owned one.

I have owned Fords all my life and never been stranded for over 50yrs and owned dozens of them I have a ford explorer with over 450,000 miles and have changed the a/c compressor and water pump and it still passes inspection I just do change oil every 3,000 miles.

I do agree with your opinion. I bought a new Toyota Tundra in 2008 (2nd year they were built) based on Motor Trend Truck of the year award. A friend had me go back and analyze all the past years awards for "Truck of the Year and Car of the Year" He then pointed to an article he dug up somewhere showing how many and how much money was spent on advertising in Motor Trend by these corporations. Guess what? He (insert car manufacturer here) who spent the most on advertising was awarded the top dog of the year award by Motor Trend. Not saying there were bad vehicles, just how simple it is to just "PAY" to be the top car/truck. My Tundra turned out to be best truck I've ever owned. Pulled anything you wanted, dependable/reliable and other than sucking down the go juice never put any money into it. Replaced it with my Maverick as I have no need to pull any size trailer these days except my side by side on a small, light trailer. My son made off with my Tundra and loves it! Me? I now enjoy that 40 plus mpg instead of 17! Just my opinion.
This is why I read Car and Driver. Comparing what they said the truck would be to what I found is pretty much spot on. Peppy spartan truck which if equipped right proves fairly useful and a good value. Now will it last?

A few years back JD Powers sent me a crisp $1 dollar bill. This was an attempt to solicit my opinion, enabling them to monetize my opinion....for $1.
I estimated it would take 45 minutes and my time was worth more for 45minutes than $1.
I sent the questionnaire and the $1 back asking for more money.
Never bothered me again.

Doesn’t Ford make Mazdas?
Ford got away from Mazda years ago. Funny thing considering this post, both Mazda and Jaguar benefited from Fords 'quality manufacturing process.

Don’t forget , Ford helped Land Rover and Aston Martin come out of some serious holes and mass produce to survive.utilizing a lot ford parts bin parts on all their vehicles along with jag.
Land rovers bmw motor almost killed it when ford got it. Did some decent turnaround .
People don’t realize Chrysler had saved Lamborghini too back when Iacocca was doing awesome stuff.
Even the Chrysler /daimler thing before fiat helped bring a lot of Bosch stuff into jeep and Chrysler products with some German influence on suspension and interior and better production values.

I find it funny how jd power / reviewers, highest complaints are entertainment issues , what a world we live In now!
Transmission issues were largest issues in 90’s , head gaskets/perocity issues in early 2000’s , through turbos , powertrain control issues and air bag recall issues and now we are down to how well we interact with the apps on the dash complaints .
Funny .
I think for the price point we are doing pretty good.
“ I’m Brian W that’s my opinion !, What’s yours?”
Old school reference there.
lol.

I agree Brian, I could do without the phone interface. Another interesting thing was brought up by Dogface. What type of person is willing to respond to these surveys or if data is pulled from service records, what is in place to clean the data.

Seems about right based on my experience. Maverick was the worst Ford I've owned and caused me to jump ship to a Lexus. I had more recalls on the Maverick than my two previous Fords combined. Two sets of half shafts gone bad in 20k miles on stock suspension, a transmission leak, all kinds of rattles, a BMS that keeps the battery minimally charged in the name of fuel efficiency and icing on the cake, a complete TPMS system failure while driving it to carvana to be sold requiring me to stop at a tire shop to have the system reset. Ford has lost its way...

Sounds like you got a lemon 🍋. All car manufacturers will have lemons (some have more lemons though...).
