Just got my XLT hybrid. Pretty cool! BUT!

Apple CarPlay won't come on. Plugging in, using USB cable. But there is no power to the dash usb port, nor to the usb-c port either. iPhone and CarPlay works just fine in my other car. Any thoughts? Thanks.

OP can you clarify — there is no power to your device(s) when you plug them into those usb ports?

Sounds like the fuse is blown if so. Does anyone know if that would be fuse 10 or 15 “extended power modules”?

My current car was having problem with Android auto, I switched the cable but that didn't work. When I would restart my phone it would work again. Then I got a newer version of my phone and it magically worked perfectly

I know on my Toyotas you have to go into the settings and enable CarPlay and Android auto. Not too sure about fords but I’d imagine it’s similar.

I set up my iPhone on bluetooth. The sound quality was terrific. I then plugged in the cable and started Apple CarPlay. The sound then became very tinny and muted so I’m right back to Bluetooth.

I had the exact same issues in my 18' Fiesta ST. For some reason the car did not like a specific (cheap) replacement cable. I grabbed the cable that came with the phone and boom, fixed. I have also had issues when my sync was out of date. If I remember correctly, the Maverick is running the older sync. Not sure if that's it but it wouldn't surprise me.

Same experience with my EV Apple CarPlay. Once I grabbed an original cord I had no issues anymore.

You have to have an actual apple charger for it to work. Just order a couple off of Amazon and then it will work.
