Anyone know where the jacking point is to lift the front end without damage?
I need to check steering components as the Maverick won't track straight, it's driving me crazy🤨
Alignment isn't an issue and at one point radial pull was found to be the issue, but I have my doubts now as it's happening at slow speeds as well. I have the wonderful Continental tires BTW🫣

I'll be buying Michelin's soon, but wanted to do this first.

Maybe one of you has had this same issue?🤔

Thank you for any input!

Only what the manual mentions.

Note: Jack at the specified locations to avoid damage to the vehicle.
  1. The vehicle jacking points shown here are also depicted on the warning label on the jack. Small arrow-shaped marks on the vehicle sills show the location of the jacking points.

  1. Turn the wrench clockwise to raise the vehicle until the flat tire is completely off the ground.

Thank you HeyBales!

I should have mentioned that I have only 1 jack and am looking for one place in the front to place it🤪

I bought this UJack. Works well.

I'm sure I've missed some threads - but I don't recall anyone saying they found a safe center of front single jack point.

That’s not safe and do not recommend especially if it’s a floor jack dependent on hydraulics.

If you’re climbing under 4k lbs of steel you better have a fail safe back up. I don’t want to hear about how Douger was flattened by his Mav.

Thanks 710-oil, I appreciate the concern, but am well aware of my head getting smashed🤪
Been under many vehicles in my 56 years and am still breathing😀

It's looking like, from responses, is to buy another jack to use on the front sides in order to lift the front.

Well, you don't want to get under a vehicle with two jacks, either. ;)

Once you get one side jacked up high enough from the pinch weld, I am pretty sure there are other things under there you can support on a fixed jack stand - but my skid plate is on, and it is too hot to go outside and mess with that just to get a picture. :)

If a forum search doesn't turn anything up, try Youtube, maybe. Really you just need a pic of the underside that you can see body structure and fixed suspension components that might be options.

and miss a perfect opportunity to buy a lift?
🤔

A pair of jack stands would be a better choice, and cost less, than another jack.

jack stands are cheap and you only need one jack to lift one side and place the jack stand, then do the other side.

DO NOT GET UNDER A VEHICLE ONLY SUPPORTED BY JACK(S).
(although the Maverick has enough ground clearance you'd probably be ok. Still not smart.)

Use a 3-4' scrap wood spreader bar, lift the entire side at once from the middle, slide your 4 newly purchased jack stands under the jack points, work safely under the vehicle. 🤠
