2024 Lariat 2.0L Ecoboost ... NO RECALLS FOR ME, EITHER!
A Maverick with no recalls is like a Maverick with a center mount rear license plate - it ain’t natural.

My 6 month old 25 EB has had a recall for malfunctioning idiot light, a “customer service” alert for an incorrect radiator, a TSB for a potentially faulty fuel pump, and a dash rattle that I will fix myself.

My thinking is “if it ain’t broke - it ain’t a Maverick”:)

Can’t wait for next year!?!?

No recalls, and no issues here. I'm glad I got the EB; seems most of the issues are with the hybrids.
I'm surprised you didn't have the camera recall - correct trim & year.

Or you mean you haven't gotten any recall work done.
Slight difference.

I swear on a stack of Bibles,
Nothing, not a single issue,
No recalls, I checked. When I purchased it I had the service department check.
No recalls,
It was a last run 2024.
My 2024 is last of 2024 production. I am getting excellent gas mileage generally driving 65-70 mph which is moderate on our highways here with speed limits between 75 and 85. But I havent been on any of the 80-85 mph stretches since I got it. Daily commute with idling for stops, car washes, and warming up, I'm averaging 29 mpg. When Im doing a long stretch of driving with little to no stops, averaging about 34 mpg.

I really miss my stick shift! Up until 2000 I about half the vehicles I had were sticks. The first car I had was a 3-speed with the worst clutch and transmission ever made, a 63 Comet 6-cylinder! I limped home with no clutch a couple of times.
Same for me about half my cars have been manuals. I really enjoy a drive shifting through gears. I was dead set on my next car being a stick shift to have a vehicle that I enjoy driving.. But I also liked the practicality of the Maverick and i liked the way they look. I was surprised how much I truly enjoy driving it and am very satisfied with it. I have a fx4 lariat. When I test drove it I turned on the radio to check out the stereo and Lainey Wilsons 4x4xu song was the song playing on the radio. Immediately set the tone for my laid back cruise vehicle.

No recall at all. This is probably a late 2024 -- we bought in in April of this year.

They did the recall on their lot stock in order to sell it - you got it!

Those latter 24's were stuck on all the lots for months until the software upgrade was finished to be applied.
Some buyers even bought and discovered on pickup they could not take the truck, as not allowed to release with an active recall that couldn't be performed yet.

That's why so many 24's left over.
25's coming out not effected.

Aha! Excellent point HeyBales. Some recalls were done on vehicles BEFORE being sold! Purchaser would never know.

Now you got me curious - did my removed air shutters happen at the factory because that's just the way it's done now, or did the dealer do the recall to remove them before I found the truck to buy it?
Since the manufacture date was outside the recall range, I'm betting the former.
But nothing says a dealer crew might not be in the habit of doing a recall for a long while.

Never saw anything online regarding my VIN, and recall's applied - they should show prior recalls done I'd think, they sure will show recalls needing to be done.

I just completed a roughly 750 mile trip from Columbus, OH to Chicago and back.

With the cab loaded up with a family of 5 and luggage for the weekend the hybrid averaged…..

A really pathetic 23.5mpg.

That’s with the 235 Wildpeak AT Trails filled to 35psi cold and running 7-9 miles above the posted speed limit.
Somewhere around 75-80 MPH the ecoboost leads the hybrid in MPG I ran my truck for a few hundred miles at cruse control 80 MPH and got about 32 MPGs traveling west on the Roy Rogers turnpike. 2 people and camping gear for a 7 week trip.

The only recall on My 2025 Maverick is for the Passenger Airbag Disable Indicator. Which I will have done in the next couple of weeks when I get the Oil Changed and tires rotated as I'm approaching 4,500 miles. And the only other issue I have is a clicking noise in what sounds like the far right passenger side dash area. Other than those 2 things I Love My Maverick.

90 is not the least bit extreme for the Ecoboost.
I’m comfortable at those speeds. It’s the American drivers as a whole who are not up to cruising at 90 and should not.

I had more than five years on the West German Autobahn. They, we considered 90 mph , 145-150 KPH just as normal over there as our 70 mph is here.

The only real difference is Germans get some actual driving training.
For an example,
If your in the left/high speed lane on the Autobahn and a faster driver comes up behind you and you don’t move to the right before he has to apply his brakes
You will get a ticket for obstructing traffic.
The left lane is strictly off limits to commercial trucks and busses.

The Ecoboost is very efficient at 90 and
With better tires and a bit stiffer suspension would be fine at 100 mph.

The 2.0 Liter Turbo Ecoboost mated to the eight speed is not even trying at 90 mph. I’m just allowing it to breathe a little.
The Maverick is one of those vehicles that will allow 90mph to creep up on you without breaking a sweat. Even the Hybrid will end up at 90 if the driver isn't paying attention. Im sure the EcoBoost could do it even moreso. I'd be interested to see what the natural top speed would be if the Maverick wasn't limited by the PCM, I'm sure it would be well beyond it's handling limits. I remember driving a 6.7 diesel equipped f250 . I had done a repair involving acceleration. So I was on a final test drive. I had it to the floor and was looking straight ahead at the road. The truck started to feel a bit squirrelly as if the front wheels weren't firmly planted on the road. I backed off the accelerator and glanced down at the speedometer. I think it was in excess of 110. The f250 is supposed to be limited to 103. The customer had a programmed it and eliminated the speed limiter. !

I don’t think the EB can get 32mpg at 80mph can it?… I was thinking more like 26mpg?

Just got back from a 250 mile round trip ride.
My 2024 AWD Ecoboost Lariat is one year in my possession in seven days and is just recently fully broken in with 12,700 miles on the clock.

Are you guys sitting down ?

Rolling hills, one gorge full of twisties. About 75% of the ride at 65-75 mph with some elevation change mixed in.
Three sections of 85-90 mph, each about five miles long.
Hey, I was keeping up with traffic.

I started at 1950 feet above sea level, finished at 3,100 feet then back.

TWO very hard and fast Italian tuned ups, about five miles each.

With the above mentioned hauling ass my trip fuel average was 31.3 mpg’s. Thats with the 4,500 to 5,500 rpm tune up runs AND the 85-90 mph sections.

I'm very happy,

I will say even though my stock Michelin primacy tires were at 38 psi hot the tires had to work to manage the sweeping turns at 75 mph.
I needed a bit more tire.

At the trips end I finally broke the 500 mile range mark.
I refilled and it showed me a respectable 517 mile range.

This Ecoboost on its full synthetic oil is now fully broken in and delivers its power so smoothly it’s almost unbelievable.

The Eight speed transmission is fantasticly smooth and accurate.

Here is the part you guys will call Bullshit on,
Twice I saw my mpg’s climb above 31 while I was doing 85-90.
The Ecoboost gets plenty of air and IMHO a so called cold air intake is just under the hood eye candy and an absolute waste of money.

Got an Ecoboost ?
Remember to drive it like you stole it now and then.
Zoom Zoom

A Warning to the fast boys.

I could feel the first signs of my Mavericks suspension and tires approaching its performance limits as I passed 90 mph.
On a straight away no problem.
I was not on a straight away. I was in high speed sweepers.
The boat float feeling was trying to be noticeable.
Get a performance rear sway bar and tune it lift the cap on 108mph limit and you’ll do 120 no problem

108-110 . Fast enough for me at my current age. If I had it in my 20s-30s I would probably be stupid enough to go faster. But at age 61 I doubt if Ill get even 100 mph. Partly because of nerves. But mostly because they can now arrest for going over 30 over the limit on over 100 mph regardless. In the past it was a civil infraction unless in a school zone
