No sooner than I had bought my Leased 2023 Maverick XLT that the lights on BOTH of Visors stopped working! It was Ford's gift to me for welcoming me to the family!

I remember when our startup had a contract with Ford Motor Company in Detroit in 1999, the company branding was "Quality is Job 1"!! I think Job 1 has fallen by the wayside cause the car has less than 3200 miles and things are falling apart already. Our Lexus with 165,000 miles does not have ANY such issues!

Any suggestion on where to check to debug the problem would be greatly apprecaited. I suspect it could be fuse that died due to the Procument team sourcing the cheapest fuse they could find from China!

Thank you.

There are lights with the mirrors on the visors? I don't think any Mavericks, regardless of trim, have that option. Do you mean the lights between the visors?

Lariats have lighted visor mirrors.

My bet is they might mean the overhead map lights and it's because it's going into deep sleep.

Do the dome lights still come on when door is opened. If 12v battery saver is active some interior lights are inactivated when 12v soc gets low (12.1v?). If dome lights are switched on and do not illuminate when door is opened battery saver is probably turning off interior lighting. The visor on/off switch is built in to the door cover. Maybe the bulbs are burned out???(not likely).

Put good smart charger on under hood jump post overnight and then check visor lights.

Yep sounds like one of the notorious deep sleep symptoms. OP may want to check their FordPass app for notifications. Also maybe searching the forum for informative details. Search terms such as Deep Sleep, Jump Pack, Battery, Won't Start, Trickle Charger, etc. there's lots of helpful information.

Just curious. Did the term "deep sleep" originate with the Maverick or is it a term that has been around for a while from other brand hybrids??? Seems like if you have a hybrid you need to increase your vocabulary. My experience with deep sleep usually occured after a 12 pack.. ;) 👎

Out of curiosity I did a google search on " deep sleep in automobiles ". It appears that it is a term in the auto industry, but the majority of what the search returned was related to Ford and Lincoln vehicles, not just Maverick. The majority seemed to be a lot of bitching - not surprising.....

Thank you for this bit of information! I haven't been driving the Mav very much and the interior lights haven't been coming on when open the door. I checked the notifications in the FORD App and sure enough, I need to drive the truck more to keep the battery charged and the interior lights available.

Yes, the dome lights above the inside Mirror do come on! The Visor Mirror light was working on the DRIVER side, but not on the passanger. The next day they BOTH stopped coming up when sliding the mirror to open!!

Is there an indicator for the 12 volt battery charge? Even if the problem is related to the battery charge, the lights should work after a decent drive with the battery is fully charged. But the lights are still BOTH out.

Hmmm, I would expect both would be on same fuse so probably not "the?" Fuse. There is not a voltage monitor for the battery that the driver can access some use power point monitors which display the voltage on the bus which when truck is running will be the alternator for the 2.0 or the dcdc converter 12v bus portion of its output. On the hybrid the 12v battery voltage will be reduced by the amount of draw tapped into the bus prior to the power point the monitor is tapped onto it when the dcdc converter is off. The mirror on my lariat is hinged and opens like a door. Yours slides so be sure it slides all the way open. Maybe something is blocking the cover sliding far enough to activate the switch. I just looked at my hybrid XLT and the mirror cover flips up just like my lariat but has no light. Do not know if it's supposed to? Did not check passenger side. The only thing that slides on mine is the visor itself to adjust the position to block sun if needed.

This is the light behind the visor that comes on when u slide the visor mirror open. My XLT has it.

I would check the bulbs first.
