It’s not “everyone” that fiddles with all his knobs.

It is primarily his wife that he wants to restrict from using the seat heater.

To me, it appears that she is convinced that she can feel the heat coming from the seat heater, despite the thick aftermarket seat cover.

And it also appears to me that he thinks that the seat heater is going to damage the seat, or at least damage the aftermarket seat cover, since it is producing thousands of watts of heat that can not escape into the seat occupant, and it is wrapped in space-suit quality insulation, built into the aftermarket seat cover.

Otherwise, if these 2 belief states did not exist, why would you circumvent your wife’s autonomy over the temperature control of her own seat?
I worked with a guy who installed one of these 👇👇👇👇

in his house, to keep his wife or the kids from touching the thermostat.

Yes I know the OP wants to disable it, because everybody gets in his truck and touches all of his knobs.

She always washes her hair right before we leave to go somewhere, so has to adjust the heater and A/c controls so it blows her hair dry, and I could have the heat on and she wants A/C on, and the vents blow the wrong way, etc. Don't most people just leave the controls alone when they get into someone else's car? At least she leaves the seat alone......Then has to comb her hair, and pull the hair out of the comb and try and throw it out the window........You get my drift.
