Customer of mine owns a ‘21 King Ranch and he was going crazy when I showed him my Mav today. He absolutely thought it was awesome.

did say he wanted one for his wife, though. 😂

I live northeast of Nashville and I have hauled some bulky and some heavy loads on and off road in my XLT with FX4. I bought this truck to haul wood for my woodturning plus have a comfortable daily driver. After one week it has proven to be great at both jobs.

perhaps an adjective rather than a suffix?

3/4 ton crew cab fwd hybrid 4.5 ft. bed is an awful lot of syllables

Well, I carried 1100 lbs in the bed today, plus my wife and I in the cab. That was 150-200 lbs under gross wt.

And I have done three trips to Lowes, one to Home Depot, and one to the dump with it, using the bed as intended each time. That is in just under 2 weeks of ownership.

Yep, it's a truck.
To put things in perspective the supposed truck that is a Maverick has a bed payload capacity of 1500 lbs while a real truck like an F150 is only 1000 lbs.

It's a truck. It's more capable than my dad's '83 S10 that I grew up driving, and the Mazda B4000 that my best friend had.

And when you look at what it can haul, it's awesome for what it is. Which is a truck.

Just spit-balling here, maybe an SUT - Sport Utility Truck?

But if it was a Lariat trim, would that make it a SLUT?

It’s a truck, but I would like to see what you turn. Like an art form that is vanishing, is there even wood shop anymore?

I would think every U.S. Auto Parts Company ordered fleet Mavs for their business just like the old Ford Rangers still delivering parts today.
I wonder if we will see rear seat delete models running around. Or do you think they are just already in the transition to transit connects?

Trucklette is not talking down on it. Just means a small truck, which i believe the maverick is. You dont have to use the term but should not be an issue with others using it.
Ohh my god stop triggering me!!! I'm fragile man.

I prefer the term "Pony Truck". It reminds me of the Mustang and how there will be several copy-cats coming. It is creating a big splash and instant demand. The original Maverick was another "Pony Car".

That's a really funny way to be wrong and not admit it.

The whole argument is silly. It's a pickup truck. Just look at the friggin thing! The only real difference is that it's unibody instead of body on frame. It has an open bed! That's what makes it a pickup! The thing has a better bed capacity that other body on frame pickups.

The only people I see claiming it's not a pickup are body on frame pickup owners trying to justify having spent double or triple the cost of the maverick to buy a huge hunk of metal that they literally never use as a truck.
