It's a family vehicle. Period.
I had a 2018 F-150 which I traded in on the Maverick, I loved the room and driving comfort of the larger truck, which you see so many on the roads used as a family hauler, so the Mav can fall into the same class of vehilce ... a car, a truck, a SUV all in one, just a little smaller and easier to manuver.

The very definition of “truck” is-
: a wheeled vehicle for moving heavy articles: such as a strong horse-drawn or automotive vehicle (such as a pickup) for hauling.

Edit: I think a more accurate definition of the Maverick is pickup truck: a light truck having an enclosed cab and an open body with low sides and tailgate. But that wasn’t one of the options the OP gave.

I will be ordering 2. 1 that will be my work truck, approximately 500miles a week. Project Manager Custom home construction. The other for my daughter so when she moves out...she has her hauler already:ROFLMAO:. We just load her up and good luck. That is how it went down for my wife and me. I have a Silverado that can handle any of the bigger task I need done. I wouldn't buy a Maverick to lift,4x,drag,smash and haul junk...I'm buying it as a smart business decision. It's still a tool to me. If it is able to haul my 14ft Marlon jon boat to the eastside of state and back I will be ecstatic.
Exactly. You have an actual truck for grunt work. And the Mav is a truck to drive to work, not a work truck to you. Your decision will pay off in the long term.

I just cringe when I hear somebody say they want a Mav as their "work truck". Not gonna hold up and the value will sink like a stone. An '04 Tundra is a work truck. The Mav was designed to be a consumer grade truck for homeowners, not a commercial grade truck for contractors.

Hauling, towing, off-road. The Hybrid does haul well at 1500 lbs. but only checks 1/3 boxes, maybe 1 1/2. At least the EB 4K TP gets you in the door in all 3 categories. I'll call that Maverick version a truck.

The Hybrid simply doesn't do things I would expect in a truck. My 2012 Kia Sedona minivan with a V6, tow hitch and A/T tires was more of a truck than the hybrid. I call the Maverick a truck just like everybody else but we all know it's a TINO, as in Truck In Name Only.
Great handling, room for 5, and a place to haul their luggage: Corvette only checks 1/3 boxes, so it's NOT a car...

Sounds pretty ridiculous, doesn't it? Well, that's what YOUR list sounded like to me when I read it... Off-road? Jeeps do that SO much better than any truck. Off-roading is a "johnny-come-lately" to the truck game, and the VAST majority of those jacked-up, big-tired, 4x4 "Off-Road" specials will never (and I mean NEVER) touch dirt in their lifespans Their owners would be too worried about scratching the paint on their bumpers...

Your needs are yours, and no one (including me) can reasonably argue with you about what YOU need in a truck... But you have created a list of "truck features" that aren't exactly universal...

I, for one, don't have a compelling need to tow anything over 2000 lbs with my truck. I did have a C2500HD (diesel) to tow my 5th wheel camper, but discovered that my wife was too scared to drive it, so we switch out to a Motorhome, with the potential to flat-tow a vehicle behind it. She isn't afraid to drive that rig. (Something about "big pulling little" makes her feel better than "little pulling big.")

Would it be reasonable of me to declare that your EB 4K TP is NOT a truck, because it cannot be flat-towed? Of course not. It's a truck - in fact, It's literally the same truck with different drivetrains.

I had a couple of El Caminos back in the '70s - the criticism was always 'it's a lousy car and a lousy truck'. My thought was 'it's a better car than a truck is and a better truck than a car is'.

In Australia they also call chicken “chook”, if you’re getting drunk you’re “on the piss”, a cigarette is a “fag” and a gay person is “a poof (pronounced puf)”. Just cause they call it something over there, doesn’t mean we have to call it that over here.

The Maverick is a pickup truck in the good ole USA.
