  1. Maverick off the lot

Got my Ecoboost XLT FX-4 with virtually all options I wanted on the lot at a small rural dealership. Got it for MSRP as well. But this was up in NB Canada.
  2. Is the Maverick a real truck? I think it is and I am going to use it like a truck.

It's a truck. It's more capable than my dad's '83 S10 that I grew up driving, and the Mazda B4000 that my best friend had. And when you look at what it can haul, it's awesome for what it is. Which is a truck.
  3. What are they topping off the tank with?

It was cool - when I picked up my Maverick the salesman came with me to the closest gas station, and then asked me what I would normally put in my vehicles. When I said super, he filled it up to the top with premium 93. And the cool part was that was not a fee on the bill of sale. It was just...
  4. January Inaugural Rig Photo Competition for Mavericks (Edited)

I call it "Sleeping Maverick". Woke up to 1" of freezing rain followed by about 4" of snow and a nice crispy top coat of ice to finish it off.
  5. On Long Highway Trips, How Far On A Full Tank Can You Go In Either The Hybrid Or Ecoboost?

Ecoboost I've got 700km with mixed 30% city and 70% highway. That's max. Mostly 650 km when I'm doing more city.
  6. Pre-order Questions: Nova Scotia

Picked up my Maverick from dealer stock in a northern NB dealer - Vision. They were great to deal with and charged msrp which was great. So agree - try to find one coming that is close to what you are looking for. I got the local Line-X dealer in Miramichi to do their top spray-in. They were...
  7. How many people have you convinced to buy the Maverick?

I have 3 on the fence... no commitments yet.
  8. How many of you Mav owners have seen another Mav on the road?

Saw one at the local dealer for about a day and then it was gone. The dealer said they've sold 3... haven't seen one in the wild yet.
  9. Manual Transmission. If it was offered, would you choose a Standard?

It wouldn’t be faster… but it would be a lot more fun. It’s the one thing I miss from my Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I’ve always driven standard. Even my first vehicle was my dads 1983 Chevy S10 King Cab - same size as this - with a 4 speed manual on a tree.
  10. 2022 Maverick FX4 Deep Snow and Ice Winter Test

Matches what I’ve found in our 6” of slush and snow. Pretty well planted and able to get through everything I have been able to throw at it.
  11. Seeking feedback: FX4 or 4K?

If you can afford, go for both. I really like the tow hooks that the FX4 package adds. Will make it so much easier if you ever get stuck and need towing. The upgraded wheels and tires are also good. I love my slippery setting that works so well in the snow. Skid plates are more of a pain to...
  12. Any Maverick owners with NO problems / issues so far?

2,000 km in and no problems other than trying to find more reasons to go out and play in it.
  13. Questions about the Maverick?

I’ll jump in on #4 since I live in a cold climate part of eastern Canada. XLT package offers heated wipers which is nice in the cold snow and ice. I believe you have to go up to Lariat or Lariat + Lux to get heated seats and I’m not sure if heated wheel is an option. One thing that sucks in...
  14. Hot Pepper Red XLT no moonroof?

Mine has the HPR XLT with sunroof and FX4
  15. Ford Pass Available in Canada

Went into my local dealer in NB this past week and they were able to apply my $200 of credits to a soft tonneau cover. Parts had to get service to apply the credit and then they got me to pay for the rest. FYI I am paying for them to install, as if I do, the warranty goes from 1 to 3 years on...
  16. Line-X before and after

Congrats on getting it done! Got the premium version done here in New Brunswick Canada first week in December. It was $675 CAD for that, or $550 for the base one. Lifetime warranty (not transferable). in talking to the Line-X dealer, he said that 6 months later people later regret not getting...
  17. Snow Performance?

I’ve got the FX-4 with the optional Wildpeak AT3 which is a snow-rated all terrain tire here in New Brunswick Canada. It’s been great so far. I’m coming from a Jeep Rubicon manual with 33” KO2 tires which was a beast in the snow. Took me a couple drives to get used to the FWD bias, and the...
  18. Carpet Floor Mats falling apart. Any better OEM or aftermarket options?

I got the factory rubber mat kit. They fit with the holders on the driver side and overlap but have 2 sections for the back. Very happy with them.
