Got my Ecoboost XLT FX-4 with virtually all options I wanted on the lot at a small rural dealership. Got it for MSRP as well. But this was up in NB Canada.
It's a truck. It's more capable than my dad's '83 S10 that I grew up driving, and the Mazda B4000 that my best friend had.
And when you look at what it can haul, it's awesome for what it is. Which is a truck.
It was cool - when I picked up my Maverick the salesman came with me to the closest gas station, and then asked me what I would normally put in my vehicles. When I said super, he filled it up to the top with premium 93.
And the cool part was that was not a fee on the bill of sale. It was just...
Picked up my Maverick from dealer stock in a northern NB dealer - Vision. They were great to deal with and charged msrp which was great. So agree - try to find one coming that is close to what you are looking for.
I got the local Line-X dealer in Miramichi to do their top spray-in. They were...
It wouldn’t be faster… but it would be a lot more fun.
It’s the one thing I miss from my Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I’ve always driven standard. Even my first vehicle was my dads 1983 Chevy S10 King Cab - same size as this - with a 4 speed manual on a tree.
If you can afford, go for both. I really like the tow hooks that the FX4 package adds. Will make it so much easier if you ever get stuck and need towing. The upgraded wheels and tires are also good. I love my slippery setting that works so well in the snow. Skid plates are more of a pain to...
I’ll jump in on #4 since I live in a cold climate part of eastern Canada.
XLT package offers heated wipers which is nice in the cold snow and ice. I believe you have to go up to Lariat or Lariat + Lux to get heated seats and I’m not sure if heated wheel is an option.
One thing that sucks in...
Went into my local dealer in NB this past week and they were able to apply my $200 of credits to a soft tonneau cover. Parts had to get service to apply the credit and then they got me to pay for the rest.
FYI I am paying for them to install, as if I do, the warranty goes from 1 to 3 years on...
Congrats on getting it done!
Got the premium version done here in New Brunswick Canada first week in December. It was $675 CAD for that, or $550 for the base one. Lifetime warranty (not transferable).
in talking to the Line-X dealer, he said that 6 months later people later regret not getting...
I’ve got the FX-4 with the optional Wildpeak AT3 which is a snow-rated all terrain tire here in New Brunswick Canada. It’s been great so far. I’m coming from a Jeep Rubicon manual with 33” KO2 tires which was a beast in the snow.
Took me a couple drives to get used to the FWD bias, and the...
