Hi Maverick Club. I recently bought a 2022 Maverick Lariat 4K. But not luxury package. I noticed the glove box, and interior blue plastic panels scratch easily. Are there any tips to remove and or prevent scratches. My visual OCD gets quite tickled at times. TIA

I’ve heard similar stories. I just don’t let my porcupine in the car anymore!

Definitely easy to scratch. But noticed im the only one that notices and not passengers so 🤷🏻‍♂️ Im picky but can live with it. Aslong as the black exterior is nice and shiny at all times 😂

Watch YouTube video Cargo Atea Plastic Tepair v26

Repairing Polypropylene. You will learn about the different grades of interior plastic, how much of each material is composed in the plastic. The better grade contains a higher percentage of rubber in more expensive cars.
You can see how he completely transforms a damaged interior panels. The video is a little long, but the results are amazing!

I figured out that plastic is soft, so my plan is to avoid scratches by thinking ahead of time about being careful. When it does happen, which it will, I will have done my best. Eventually my truck will look older and used.

Another example, I had a Mustang cobra and in 12 years I had not even 1 door ding. Why because I understood how they happen and parked out in the boonies when possible. It also made me get more walking in too.

My 2016 Prius has lots of plastic. It is starting to show signs of use. Seats could use a cleaning, dash and door panels have some scratches.

We are all different, my truck will not scratch itself. I will by using it. Some will use it more than others.

I knew that was going to be an issue.... I wonder if there is a good quality spray on product that will protect that better? Or at least hide those scratches - not sure I want to use Amorall - years ago when I used that crap my interior dash material would crack... and split open.

I figured out a plan years ago. It's just a car (now a truck). Life goes on and you use the truck you bought for a reason. Probably not to put it in the garage and keep it pretty.

This subject came up in another thread a few days ago, and someone suggested this product, I already had it on hand, tried it, and it works! I noticed right away the interior was going to get scratched up, so I’m glad the first thing I tried seem to work. Did the rest of the interior, just spray onto a cloth or rag, then wipe on evenly.

Did it do a good job removing/taking care of existing scratches?
