I applied matte finish Armor All protectant to all my interior plastics. I was scuffing the door panels and door sills with my big floppy clown feet and aggressive Merrell Vibram tread hiking boots. My wife also likes to pull her legs up in the passenger seat and often scuffs/scratches the glove box with her shoes (on all our vehicles). Drives me nuts!!!

It removed the scuffs pretty well and makes minor scratches much less noticeable. After a week and a half, I have seen no new scuffs and scratches forming. I think having that protective layer helps keep things from gripping into the soft plastic and gives it a chance to slide right off versus going for the gouge.

It won't protect from a direct assault, but anything that will help keeping my beautiful interior looking good is important to me.

Regular Sheen/glossy protectants may provide even more protection. But I don't think a high gloss finish looks right for the Maverick materials. And no longer looks like factory OEM brand new any more. Even the matte finish does give a slightly glossier finish than factory. But when applied uniformly, looks good and undetectable.

I can tell you it also has way cut down in the dust and particulate that seemed to be attracted to the plastics.

Pictures 1-1/2 weeks after matte protectant. Nice satiny look

Been looking everywhere for something that WILL help prevent scratches and scuff marks on the Maverick interior? It is called Angelus 4 coat matte…primarily used on leather tennis shoes but also is used on cheap plastics. The company claims it will prevent scuff marks and minor scratches. Will not cover up pre existing scratches but will help prevent future ones. I reach d out to them and they said if you have any questions to Contact [email protected]. Please check them out.
That looks like a urethane clear coat that you apply like other topcoats to projects. Not sure I’d want to coat the interior of a vehicle with it by hand.
