Lately, whenever I park my truck at a shopping center and come back to my truck, I notice the largest truck is parked next to me. Yesterday, it was a brand new F350. Today it was a brand new Ram 250.

It sure makes the Maverick look like a small truck.

They bought those 80k pickups and feel the need to be superior.
They may have actually bought them for $60K in 2020 and see them selling for $80K lately, and combined with the fuel price increase are considering selling it for a Maverick. I know my neighbor for one sold his F150 because he said he drove it for 1.5 years and yet was able to sell it for a profit so couldn't pass up the offer, and now him and the wife share a Subaru Outback. I'm also driving a big hemi Ram 1500 and would already have a Maverick if you could just pick one up at a dealership for a bit under MSRP like USED to be the case before all these shenanigans.

I think this is probably true - I feel like I get the most double takes/over-the-shoulder looks and questions from bigger truck owners.

Kinda like going to a nudy bar....
Somehow all the Jock Saint Clairs seem to sit next to you so when they release the hounds, you get neglected....:ROFLMAO:

doesn't look parked NEXT TO you? Looks like pretty deserted area of parking lot and they are just trying to keep their new truck from getting dinged same as you are :)

Yeah, parking in Mav the back of the lot to avoid the people who can't park properly, combined with the people who drive huge trucks and can't park them anywhere.

Two people on my street are getting mavericks after seeing mine. I park next to a Ram 1500 quad cab everyday that has never put a thing in his bed and I bet he’s next.

I always park my f150 way out in the boondocks because I can't park it worth a damn.

I've had my Mav for four days now. It's funny how big it actually is in real life. Looks normal in the sea of compact and mid-sized SUVs. The only vehicles that really make it seem small are the mid and full-size trucks, mainly because they are jacked up so tall even in stock form.

Who wants to drive a huge truck that gets 12 mpg anymore? I don't see gas getting cheaper for the next 3 years. Probably more expensive like everything else. Sometimes less is more. This Maverick (IF and when I get it, hybrid) is going to be killer. I just stopped at Ziebart to get a price on SIBL and low and behold they were putting their shied product on a Maverick. Area 51. Man, it looked great! I picked Alto Blue, but this looks good up close.
