Lately, whenever I park my truck at a shopping center and come back to my truck, I notice the largest truck is parked next to me. Yesterday, it was a brand new F350. Today it was a brand new Ram 250.

It sure makes the Maverick look like a small truck.

Clearly they're asserting their dominance over you.
Yes I can hear that driver stating, "I spent 3 times as much on a truck & use twice as much fuel as your Maverick, so take that!"

I've had my Mav for four days now. It's funny how big it actually is in real life. Looks normal in the sea of compact and mid-sized SUVs. The only vehicles that really make it seem small are the mid and full-size trucks, mainly because they are jacked up so tall even in stock form.
Funny how most city trucks are lifted to an obnoxious height but have never seen a trail or a drop of dirt.

I always park my f150 way out in the boondocks because I can't park it worth a damn.
Lol I wrecked my CRZ now driving my f-150. The damn thing is just to big to be a daily driver.

They may have actually bought them for $60K in 2020 and see them selling for $80K lately, and combined with the fuel price increase are considering selling it for a Maverick. I know my neighbor for one sold his F150 because he said he drove it for 1.5 years and yet was able to sell it for a profit so couldn't pass up the offer, and now him and the wife share a Subaru Outback. I'm also driving a big hemi Ram 1500 and would already have a Maverick if you could just pick one up at a dealership for a bit under MSRP like USED to be the case before all these shenanigans.
I know the feeling ... I am driving a 14 Ram 1500 and was smitten with the Maverick when I bought my wife's Escape ....I ordered one with the assurance of the dealer ... oh it takes 6 to 8 weeks. I had no idea all the BS around getting one built. I do now though. The aggravating thing is I have a friend of my cousin wanting to buy the Ram. His patience is a concern. Now gas prices. If he bales due to the economics and the protracted build time ..... I will seriously consider keeping it and baling on the Mav.. Maybe .

Reminds me of the day that I worked at Two Guys gas station pumping gas. A guy with a huge Cady spied a VW beetle claiming his car cost more than 3 of the Beetles. This was in the 70,s. I told him and you come to Two Guys for gas. Two guys was a discount dep store in NJ. And in NJ you cannot pump your own gas.

If you run into any of these truck drivers while returning to your Maverick, look the drivers straight in the eye and growl, "I crap bigger'n you!"

That's the reason you see so few Mavericks. You caught him before he loaded it in the back of his truck.

If you have ever tried to wiggle a big truck into a parking spot you would understand the need for little vehicles, it gives you a few inches to squeeze into. I dont understand why places like Lowe's and Home Depot have parking spots sized for a sedan. Who do they think shops there?

On a side note, I am hoping gas prices stay inflated for a while. It will be like last time prices were up, the price of large trucks and SUVs took a dive. Then I can upgrade my 20 year old ¾ ton truck at a discount while I enjoy my Maverck.

Two Guys From Harrison!

For those who found E.J. Korvette too upscale. 😉
