This recall wouldn't affect fuel economy in any way, right? I had it done with other recalls and the tech couldn't even answer what the recall did. He said "something with emissions and gas milage" which made me nervous. I get a solid 44mgp average year-round and don't want to see that drop...
RESOLVED: The button is now only there when the headlights come on. Must have been a software update or something I never noticed. Admins, Feel free to delete the thread.
I just had Ford do the Tail light turn signal recall and the Powertrain recall via their mobile service van and it did reset some of the radio settings. I noticed today that the button for the ambient lighting setting is now gone. Is it me or am I missing something/did it move somewhere else...
We found the issue and it’s being fixed under warranty.
the axle or CV boot had a tear and was slinging grease around. Once the grease got hot, it all dripped it’s way to the pan and other areas, looking like oil. Tech is ordering a new boot and repairing soon.
I’m sure they won’t do a great...
It condensation on the pan and around it. Basically oil on any gaskets can make that condensation oily. But oil on the gasket could mean there a small seepage somewhere, which could lead to a leak later on.
I got my 2022 XL hybrid back from a oil change and crawled under to make sure everything was buttoned up. I found oil dripping from the timing chain side of the motor, towards the top and down the block and onto the pan bolts — also on one of the wiring harnesses. Hard to believe it’s oil sweat...
If you’re looking for something that feels more chunky and solid, I got found these black plastic 3D ones on Amazon. They look OEM and have 3M tape that isn’t going anywhere.
Just ask the dealer to gift you it. I got mine for $334 from Ford. They can scrape $334 from dealer cash or off the invoice profit to make you happy. Shame on them if they can’t make it happen.
I bought a $250+ set of New Audi E-Tron monster mats for $15 on Facetube marketplace and slightly trimmed them to fit. They’re perfect and obviously high quality. The ford ones or Weathertech are probably way better fitting and sung, but these fit my floor mat standards and get the job done...
Updated T3’s are the right amount of brightness. I’d say a 15% decrease in lumens from the original 4257 ambers. Any more lumens and you’re asking to get pulled over.
We’re making a left, not landing planes
The OEM mudflaps are good, but you need to trim the edges with a razor blade. Very easy to do, and now they don’t touch the paint. I have a post about it.
Is there any issue with running the T3’s or original versions for long periods, as they’d be constantly on at night?
does that overheat them like the blinker would?
