My wife and I bought an XL Hybrid Maverick for my wife in 2024. At the time, I owned a 2023 XLT EB AWD Maverick, and my son owned a 2023 XLT Hybrid Maverick. I sold my Maverick in early 2025, and our daughter talked us into letting her take over ownership of the 2024 XL Maverick.

My wife and I decided at the last minute to do the Midwest Maverick Meetup hosted by Long McArthur Ford. We exchanged our 2022 PHEV Escape for the 2024 XL Hybrid Maverick. After more than 3,250 miles and 50 hours of seat time, I concluded that Ford hit it out of the park with the Maverick.

I forgot just how good the hybrid version of the Maverick truly is. It still has some things I would do differently. Yet, I think Ford hit a home run with the Maverick.
The big Marerick downer is the front passenger mechanical seat adjustment. I'm not buying another one unless they fix it. Anyone who sits in the seat knows it's cheap and crap.

I was a reluctant convert to the Maverick (from my 2010 Ranger). I had serious buyer's remorse driving away from the dealership. But it's converted me over the last 4 years and 40,000 trouble-free miles. It just works. It looks good. It's comfy. It hauls stuff inside and out. And it was only $30,500 OTD for an XLT LUX ECO AWD CP360 back in 2022. I still feel like I stole the thing.

I have to be honest though. The new Ford UEV truck has caught my attention in a big way.
You got solar panels technology at home?

I can't believe for 2026 they removed the passenger side height adjustment.

You can adjust it with an awkward pumping of the side lever. Unacceptable for Ford IMHO.

For 2026 Ford removed the side height adjustment from the passenger side seat.
You've got backward/forward and tilting of the seatback. That's it.
For 2026 The height adjustment is only on the driver's seat if it does not have electrical controls.
I found out because of this posting👇
My only disappointment with the XLT seats (I have a 2026 XLT w/uxury pkg) is the passenger seat no longer has a height adjustment...what a stupid place to save money...shame on you Ford! Any passenger over 5'5" feels like they are sitting way to high.

The 2026 Lariat has passenger seat vertical adjustment by lever. It's very awkward to use and provides minimal height change. Other trims have NO vertical passenger seat adjustment.

Interesting, the mechanical seat adjustments in the 24 XL work great. I prefer the manual adjustments over electric controls. Then again, I prefer as little technology and gadgetry as possible.

A hamburger for 16.95$ #geez

As a kid this MickeyD's promotion was the BEST EVER: Say "Two-all-beef-patties-special-sauce-lettuce-cheese-pickles-onions-on-a-sesame-seed-bun" in four seconds or less and the Big Mac was FREE! No Limit!
