So I got this maverick not quite a week ago.
There is lot of things to learn about this truck and I am an old dog (75 in two days).
I have been working on and with computers for the last 30 years.
I am not so familiar with phones and tablets.
I got Ford pass and so on but I cannot find the Ford navigation maps on my sync 4.
I have been fighting with it probably 4 hours today and I logged in Alexa and this junk but to no avail.
Now I even lost google maps.
I need help.
Thank you.
I just turned 30 the other day and if my salesman wouldn't have showed me everything he did I wouldn't have even figured out there was a Ford pass app. Which I'll probably never use because to me its way to complicated. Im by no means a technical person. Heck my wife had to show me how to make a Facebook account 😂 not even kidding. If I can figure some of this stuff out then I believe you can as well 👊🏼

Technically he can plug it in but it will still do wireless by default (I think).
There is a choice - wired or wireless. When plugged in, it will go wired.
But it's beyond the point - what is there to test? If wired works, and most likely it will, how does it help diagnose the wireless issue?

Would demonstrate that AA is functioning properly and also a connection can be made to Sync 4. Basically, you are isolating the issue to the wireless connection even if that has been suspected all along.

I think it's pretty obvious that it is, but sure, trying wired connection wouldn't hurt.
I would also recommend making sure that the phone is not connected to some other Bluetooth device - that would prevent connecting to the vehicle.
If there is another phone in the family, try setting it up and testing with the Maverick, see if the problem goes away - if it does, it might be the phone/truck compatibility issue.

I don’t think it is obvious at all as OP hasn’t demonstrated a grasp of Sync 4 or the options on his truck.

When I’m supporting a user of one of my applications and the user can’t provide details regarding their issue and instead say things like “it worked and now it doesn’t” or “I got a new computer and the (web-based SaaS) application needs reinstalled” even when I am confident what their issue is, you have to start at step one and walk the user to the solution.

Checking the wired connection is step one in assisting this user with their tech issues.

This happened to me once in my Ford Flex. Finally figured out I was driving early in the morning during my Android phone's usual "Do Not Disturb" timeframe. Turned off "Do Not Disturb" and all was well again.

I spent half an afternoon figuring out the radio and phone interactions. After I first got the truck.
During the truck software reload from the great time of being hacked of last spring; wireless worked for those few weeks, but wasn't 100%. Wired was more predictable. Sould tried wired connection till the truck knows your phone.

Your dealer should have taken time to answer any questions you had before you left the lot with your Maverick.

Their customer experience rep will be more than happy to answer questions that have developed over the week of ownership.

Call your salesman and ask him to set up a time for you to meet with the person to review new features.
You reach a certain age where, when a salesman “goes over the features with you” you nod your head and then forget everything they told you as soon as you drive off the lot. I’ve found the best wat is to sit in the driveway with the user manual and go over each feature. Might take a few times but after the first year you get most of them.

Fortunately my dealer assigned a fellow to set up the Carplay setting FordPass, Iphone, registered VN # and simply handed me the keys with everything setup.

I'd bet your Dealer has someone that would set up/pair everything. Only thing I had to do was add a device to bluetooth connect my Iphone. If you don't have an Iphone it is harder.

Good Luck

Yesterday it was working not today, who knows why?
French, my truck is finicky. There are days my Android Auto will pop right up on the display. Many days, I have to unplug and plug in my phone several times for it to pick it up. I understand it should work every time but I don't want to take it to the dealer for that.
