My Toyota has a pretty informative infographic.

does it also show energy flow? the toyota version of this is pretty neat. it shows if the engine is on and if it's warmed up, where power going to each wheel is coming from and if there is any recapture of energy from the ICE or the via regen.
Don't try to compare Ford quality with Toyota quality, you get what you pay for.

I found it interesting on the power flow screen when descending a mountain and you would think the engine would be off, once the battery is up to max charge, the screen shows something like Engine running for braking effort, apparently it has an engine brake. Wonder if it defuels?

if it is as smart as they say it is it will defuel, just how much is the question.

they had to have some sort of back up for the regen brake or force us to use the pedal. Unthinkable on a hybrid.

I have a 2023 Lariat Hybrid. How do I access that screen

So having seen the EV coach screen in action it's interesting but I'm not sure how to use it to my advantage. What is the coaching part?

are you referring to the braking coach or something additional?
Honestly I don't think the braking coach is all that useful either unless you're totally new to hybrids and need to get in the mindset of having enough braking distance to maximize regen. Being scored after the fact is much less useful than the EV coach (and slightly more limited power gauge) letting you see how much regen capacity your braking force is utilizing.

Seems like an opportunity to enable this using Forscan for non-Lariat trims.
They're different hardware and so it's probably not even programmed in the firmware thus there's nothing for ForSCAN to enable. Remember, ForSCAN can't magically add programming that isn't there, it just flips the flags to turn on code for options that weren't enabled.

I think I need to read the manual on that screen. I have some guesses at how to interpret the bar graphs but they may be wrong.

I've had mine since January this year. I only found out about that screen about 3 weeks ago, on accident.

It is not that interesting and not that helpful really. The novelty wears off fast.

The MOST USEFUL gauge on any hybrid maverick, any trim, is EV coach.

Learn it. Live it. Love it.

Not much use for it in highway conditions but this gauge can easily add 5 to 10 mpg boost to your city driving style.

Everyone loves it once they learn it.
I always have the EV coach pulled up when driving! I don't use any other infographic
