Hybrid screen

I have that screen available but then I own a Lariat. I use this screen when I go out with one of my buddies to show them when the different parts of the truck are working and how. I know by the sound when the engine kicks in and I know when I am charging the battery. But this screen is so easy to see from the passenger side and makes a point of what part of the system is doing the work.

My wife liked it and I didn't have to explain anything. She said that was the best part.

It would be nothing to FORD if they put that on all Hybrid Vehicles. It's just stupid that they don't!

My Toyota has a pretty informative infographic.

I hope all hybrid owners know about this screen… it is interesting.

does it also show energy flow? the toyota version of this is pretty neat. it shows if the engine is on and if it's warmed up, where power going to each wheel is coming from and if there is any recapture of energy from the ICE or the via regen.

The Toyota one is better IMHO. I have a '24 Lariat and I've used the App but it flashes too much for me. I mean it constantly blinks and does it brightly. Its also missing the battery charge level which I love in my Prius.

You can see when you're in Electric mode for any hybrid, even an XL.

(I borrowed a JBryant photo, but my XL's instrument cluster looks the same.)

This is only when you first start up but once underway, it goes away.

My experience differs from yours.
I've had my hybrid XL for almost two years. The blue "Electric" mode indicator comes on whenever my Maverick is powered 100% by one of the electric motors. This includes on the highway at speeds over 65mph.
On many local trips I see electric operation for 40-50% of the time, per the trip summary display.

The MOST USEFUL gauge on any hybrid maverick, any trim, is EV coach.

Learn it. Live it. Love it.

Not much use for it in highway conditions but this gauge can easily add 5 to 10 mpg boost to your city driving style.

Everyone loves it once they learn it.

I just wish the coach was on a HUD that would be so cool!

WTH I have had my truck since the middle of July and have looked over the manual and had no idea this was in there.
