You must have much more flat ground than me. No matter how I work it, hills always draw down the mpg climbing much more than I get coasting down them. Mostly because the one had an intersection at the bottom of the hill. So always stopped at the bottom downhill or starting uphill.
I have yet to do a road trip but I certainly won't expect to see those kinda #'s but around town I'm tickled Pink🤙

I can get in the 50s and 60s for some trips. But for my short trips some time the ice has to run when it's only needed for electric and not hills, etc.

So my city average is probably 50. But the few times I get on the freeway even a few miles it's lucky to hit 40. To the point I'll follow the street next to the freeway for the one exit instead just to run the 35mph street and get the much better mpg. As opposed to the 60mph freeway

I'm averaging 38.5 over my first thousand miles, as calculated based on fill-ups. My truck's computer was about 1.5 mpg optimistic, which I've adjusted. Pretty good mix of highway/city, so no complaints about beating the EPA combined estimate by a little bit

I've given up hypermiling it because it seems to get over 40 no matter what I do.

I have had my LXT Lux Hybrid for 2 weeks and have about 300 miles on it. Still showing about 2/3 left on fuel gauge. My question - I’ve read the manual about 87 octane and higher octane preferred. Also comments about more expensive non-ethanol fuel recommendation. Would appreciate any real world (not theoretical) responses as to what you current Maverick hybrid owners have chosen for fuel to run in yours. Many thanks.

We're 1.5 months and ~1k miles in, average sitting at 47.5mpg. If my wife wasn't the primary driver, can almost guarantee it would be >50mpg.

That's for the 2.0EB. The hybrid will not benefit from higher octane fuel.

Ethanol-free gas is always good, if you can find it, for slightly better FE.

I took a road trip (566 miles) driving 70-80 mph most of the way, a few construction slow downs and averaged 35 mph on the XLT Hybrid. I love it!

Yesterday I towed my little 4X8 trailer (empty) 50 miles and the display said I got just over 48 MPG! Trailer only weighs about 350# and there is very little frontal area, but I sure expected more of a drop off.
I'm half way through my 4th tank - Calculated MPG = 42.4, 38.9 (middle of winter), and 45.4.
What a truck!
