My hybrid XL has 3,290 miles. The overall average is now 41.0 MPG, including the cold months in Erie, PA of January, February, and early March. All has been done in Normal mode. With warmer weather I am now getting high 40's and low 50's each day, so the overall average is going to continue to rise. The photo is from my driving yesterday: 53.1 MPG over 82.7 miles around town, rural roads, and some interstate.

1000 miles in 37 hrs. is 27 mph. That's 22% highway, according to EPA formulae.
The timer is not just drive time. Any time the truck is on it's counting the time. And with it staying off there's many times I'll just have the truck on while parked rather than switch to accessory power.

I just crossed my first thousand, but the average is around 38-40 (fuelly math is even lower). But I also do at least 50% of my commute at 65+.

1st week Hybrid Owner here. The gas mileage is more than impressive.

1st tank: drive it back solo from Chapman Philly to Baltimore, next day load up two 250lb dirt bikes and 450 lbs of dude and drive 200 mile round trip 50/50 mix of highway/traffic/rural roads. Next day drive 40 miles to DC and go to 4 different city locations. Had a 1/4 tank left.
computer said 37.9. Fuelly guesstimated 38.1.

2nd tank. Drive up Eastern Seaboard. 3 people. 550 miles round trip. Finished off that 1/4 tank and filled up. All highway for the most part, 90%. Highway, some traffic some legal speed, some NJ speed, keeping the average speed up. Handles well passing. Fuelly calculated 35.7. Computer was a bit lower around 35.

on my third tank now.

I try to drive in eco in the city and normal on highway. Eco has too much regen on the highway. I did drive a fair amount in slippery mode on the highway because i feel like it drives closer to a manual transmission, less “shifting to a lower gear” feeling. While loaded up with bikes, I drive in standard. Drives great.

Thoroughly impressed? You should be. I would be too. There is nothing wrong with that for sure. Congrats. Some day, I shall be posting things like that I hope. LOL.
