Hybrid MPG Expectations

Thats great, we have almost exactly the same results after driving 176 miles. We just LOVE our new Maverick and feel lucky to have received it wi all of the constraints. Thanks for posting!

Have you heard of the Fuelly app? That can help you enter your odometer readings at fill-up times and gets you a very accurate total mpg over time. Lets you be sure of what your true mpg is in case your trip computer is being generous. Although so far my trip computer has been pretty accurate within 1 or 2 mpg.

No I just do it the old fashion way and divide the trip miles by the gallons of fuel pumped in at the station

I have used about half a tank and 274 miles on my new Hybrid. 44.3 mpg. Pleasantly
surprised.

MPG Update 3/4 Tank used and I'm getting 46.1 up from 41.7

Over 1200 miles now on my Mav while using ECO mode & EV Coach. So far getting 46 to 50 mpg in town, got 44 mpg on 470-mile trip on two lane roads with combined electric and gas, and got 37.5 mpg on Oklahoma turnpike with adaptive cruise control at 80 mph using all gas. Loving my hybrid Mav.

I concur with 44 MPG so far. Its remarkable the Maverick practically matches my previous '15 C-Max hybrid, two very different vehicles. The "Road Load" (EPA's term for driving resistance) is much higher in the Mav, yet the revised 4cyl+CVT powertrain is somehow matching the C-Max.

I'm on my 2nd tank of fuel and not using ECO Mode and running my AC all the time MPG Is currently 51.5 Couldn't be happier

You must have much more flat ground than me. No matter how I work it, hills always draw down the mpg climbing much more than I get coasting down them. Mostly because the one had an intersection at the bottom of the hill. So always stopped at the bottom downhill or starting uphill.
