Has there been any issues with the eco? All I have read about is issue after issue with hybrids...

That issue could also happen with the hybrid. What I'm trying to say is that most of the major issues are unique to the hybrid. There are other issues that would effect both models.
Got it. you said this so thought you were wanting to know if the Eco has problems also. "Has there been any issues with the eco?"

Today I joined the P0811 Excessive Clutch "A" Slippage Club!

I purchased my Maverick this past Saturday, March 19th, by driving from my home in the Atlanta, GA area to Alexandria, VA (Washington DC area) Drove it back to the Atlanta area on Sunday with no issues. Being gentle for the break in period. I averaged 36 mpg all the way back from DC, awesome! Today, I was on a two lane highway, speed limit 55. I followed a large truck going 35 mph until a passing center line presented itself. I pushed the accelerator deeper than I have done previously to pass the truck as quickly as possible. I don't believe I even exceeded 55-60 mph during the pass. Within a second or two of pressing down on the accelerator, the check engine light came on. No noticeable differences in driving characteristics. I own a OBD2 tool and read the code when I arrived home. The code as P0811. I reset the code and went for a 10 mile test drive. The light did not return. The Maverick as 830 miles on it at this point.

Welcome to the club! 🙃 Do you have any plans on taking it to the dealership for service?

I got the check engine light again after 500 miles @3200 miles, dropped off the car at dealership, they said the engine dampener needs to be replaced, no ETA on parts or timeframe for the repairs. I'll get a better estimate on part availability and time frame for repair on Monday. Hopefully this will resolve the issue 🤞
Engine dampener? What's that?

Not taking it to the dealer. Just adding my info to the growing list. I did send the Ford rep who monitors this forum a private message with what happened and she did respond. I suggest we all do that so Ford has some idea that this is not isolated to one or two Mavericks.

I had a similar issue with my hybrid (~3000 miles). I stepped on the gas to pass, and the engine shut off with the red warning message to pull over and check engine light. I was able to pull over on battery power. It took a few minutes before the car would restart and the check engine remained on. Sent it to the dealership with the following errors:

P0811 - Excessive Clutch "A" Slippage
P0E71 - Generator Torque Delivered Performance
P1920 - Engine Speed Signal

Fix was to re-seat all connectors

Sounds like this is happening on low mileage trucks after hard acceleration. If it were me, I would give the "damper" time to wear in. If it continues to happen, take it back to the dealer.

I wonder if trying to pass in Normal mode it would cause this slippage issue.... But just for KICKs would someone try to put it in sport mode since it make changes to the drive system & then go for a pass..... I know "Aint nobody got Time for that when passing" lol ... but it was just a thought... Or trial & error type deal...Example... this car is too slow ahead of me let me push the button to sport mode & make the pass then go back to normal...
