Any idea on which one? Looking into this as well.
I emailed fumoto last week and here is their response.

Thank you for contacting us.

Unfortunately we do not have a confirmation for your model however, we know

that similar Ford vehicles with a 2.5L engine have size M12-1.75 plugs which

correspond to our F137 series valves:

F137N: Long Nipple Oil Drain Valve With M12-1.75 (fumotousa.com)

We strongly suggest to confirm this information with the manufacturer or by manually

measuring the plug by mating it with a nut at your local hardware store prior to ordering.

We apologize for the inconvenience.

If you have any other questions or need further assistance please let us know.

I believe that is correct.
EJ7Z 6730-B is the part number for the 22 Maverick Hybrid oil drain plug. That part number is also the same for the 2014-2020 Transit Connect which is also a 2.5l 4 cylinder and has an M12 1.75 drain plug.

The fumoto f-107 & f-137 are both m12x1.75(f-137 drains a bit faster). The EZ-107 from EZ valves is also an option.
Has anyone installed one of these valves on a Mav yet? Curious if we will need an extension adapter (ADP-137).

I’ve got a Diesel engine on my boat. It sits below the sole (“floor”
for you landlubbers). Darn near impossible to reach the pan drain plug. Previous owner install an armored hose to the pan that extends to where it is easily reached. It has a cap on the end that requires two wrenches to open or to tighten it. So the hose is part of the oil circulating system, even though the only time oil “flows” through it is at an oil change.
On the Mav, if one was to cut a hole in the plastic shield, large enough to remove the vertically oriented filter, and had a hose similar to that on my boat, long enough to extend between the pan and the cut hole, it would ease the changing process. Would only need to be a couple of feet. Then recap the hose, tuck it up onto the shield, and secure a cap on the hole.
A bit of a job to set it up, facilitating future oil changes.

One of us should get a job as an engineer for Ford to create a small "door" in the shield to facilitate oil changes as well as a kit to be purchased and or/ installed at the dealership with a fumoto type system to prevent having to take off the complete shield to change the oil - sounds logical eh ? hahahaha

Yeah, but leave off the Fumoto valve. The cap on the hose is all that is necessary.

Maybe get a Fumoto and never have to worry about washers again?
Came in just to say this. So pleased to see it being the very first comment!

I like the Fumoto idea. Might try that someday.

Another way to go: google 12mm Aluminum Oil Drain Plug Washer Gaskets
...... and get the kind coated in rubber (usually blue or black coated), on Amazon or wherever,
example at
Also google neodymium drain plug M12x1.75
.... and my fav is the Gold Plug model AP-04 that fits

There has got to be some kind of cap plug out there to fit into an oil filter cutout hole. Something like this, but not sure if this would work very well.

The issue is , I don't know if this would void my warranty, modifying the car drain plug might cause an issue with any engine warranty, does anyone know for sure?

That one I'm not sure about. I may try what I did on one of my vehicles where I made an extension for the filter wrench. That way I could just have a round hole cut in the shield that matches the wrench diameter. Once the filter is loose it just drops straight down held by the wrench. I cut a small hole in the bottom of the filter wrench that lets it drain through my extension into the oil collection pan, so no spillage.
Did you do with cutting a hole in the shield?
I thought about it. That part of the shield is not flat.

I wanted to cut square with 3 sides cut and the fourth side of the square don't cut. Use the fourth part as a hinge. and use my good gorilla black tape to tape the 3 sides of the cuts until the next oil change and peel the tape off.

Just don't know if it would work because the 3 sides that would be cut are not flat.

Yeah on my 2022 I just cut a small portion to get the plug out. My 2024 actually has a cutout already.
