Hybrid Oil Drain Plug Replacement

Does anyone know the size of the oil drain plug on the hybrid engine - not the bolt size but the threads. I want to replace it with one of the Valvomax or EZ drain valves. Does anyone with experience using them recommend one over the other?

Sorry, no, I don't even have a Maverick yet and I didn't order a hybrid. You can email them on their website, their customer service is great

Thanks. Fumoto calls for the M12-1.75 for the 2.5L L4.

I assume its the same as the hybrid escape. If you plug in the hybrid escape info it comes up with drain plugs with a M12-.175 thread.

Thank you. I’ll wait until I get a production date then get the info passed along. We ordered the Hot pepper red hybrid XLT LUX with copilot 360 September 15th. I may get an answer on the thread before a build date.

Go with Fumoto original. That’s what I’ll be getting when it come time for an oil change. I have no idea what the clearance is with the splash guards and other stuff in way down there, but the ‘original’ is the shortest option. No need for the nipples

Another good choice for the easy drain plug if the Fumoto all brass top quality

Looks like the drain plug is recessed, so fumoto recommends an extension. Still plenty of clearance though.

I changed the oil today at a little over 2,500 miles. It looked good for the factory oil. I also checked for clearance around the drain plug. It did not seem too restricted.
