Anyone do a DIY oil change on a 2.5L Hybrid and replaced the oil drain plug seal-O-Ring-Washer? Other than the dealership, where did you buy your seal? I found nothing under eBay or Amazon. Also, after a DIY oil change, is there a way to get the engine to run vs being in electric mode to check for oil leaks?

I didn't change mine. No leaking. I usually change the O-ring washer after several thousands of miles on most of the cars I have owned.

it's incorporated into the drain bolt. you can buy just the rubber part rather than the entire bolt if you want to replace it. most people didn't have to even after 5+ oil changes.

if you want it to run, press the accelerator pedal to the ground to fire up the ice

I got a bag of these washers off the internet last spring I don't remember if it was eBay or Amazon. If it holds tight I plan on changing them every oil change. Why not I have a whole bag of them. I've only used one so far no leaks. I did keep the old one just in case.
Don't forget the extra screws and spring nuts. You may need extras. You're to remove and replace 15 screws when you do your oil change.
They are available.

You don't have to floor it. Just push the go pedal down a bit and the ICE will start.
