What's the "roll your window down" signal? I think I've been misinterpreting.....

Pretend you're without power windows and the only way to move the window down is to use a hand crank. How are you old enough to drive and not remember the days before power windows?

Have had a number of people stop me, especially when on trips at interstate rest areas. People want to look inside and usually have tons of questions. I believe I could go to a dealership and sell this thing for them! Too bad there aren't any to sell....

I've had my Maverick since February, and I've been stopped by smiling folks inquiring as to how I like it about 5 times now. It could be the Area 51 that sucks them in perhaps?
My next door neighbor even broke down and ordered one hehe.
Great little utility / commuter truck.
It's like my old '89 S10 I loved, but on steroids. Cmon, what's not to like about 45 mpg nowadays?

Well it happened again today. I was on my way home when the person next to gave the roll your window down signal, he asked "How long did it take to get your Maverick?, How is the mileage? and Do you love it?
I answered: " A year and a half. Great, so far. I only have 475 miles on it. And Absofreakinlutely!

I had somebody in the car behind me at a drive thru hop out and come up to my window to ask about it... He surprised me and so that almost didn't end well... He wanted to know if it was true that the base model didn't come with cruise control.

One of my neighbors, who I didn't previously know, caught me in my driveway to ask about it. He drives a Lexus hybrid SUV and is going to trade it in for a Maverick hybrid.

Another time, somebody in a Walmart parking lot flagged me down and wanted to see how big the back seat is so I let them do that.

Even after I have been driving the Maverick around in my small community for the last 10 months, I had somebody gawking at it in the parking lot and staring to try to catch it at different angles as I drove off.

Lastly, both my dad and my grandpa have just ordered a 2023 Maverick after I have showed them around mine. Both are F150 guys that you wouldn't normally expect to be in a truck this small. My dad has towed his heaviest loads with my Maverick though and is impressed with the capability and the mileage.

Ford should put me on the payroll because I have been selling these things left and right.

My mother-in-law just received her XL Hybrid Area 51 last week and brought it over so I could take the dealership decal off and go through some things. It wasn't in my driveway for 5 minutes before someone pulled up to our house and had to look at it up close. About 15 minutes after that, another person slowed by and said "nice truck!". I think the Area 51 color definitely has a draw to it on the Maverick.

Know the feeling. Thanks to this forum and the numerous YouTube videos I can't stop watching, I know enough about this vehicle I could carry contract papers with me and sell one (if any were to be had)

This! I've seen maybe 10 Mavericks in parking lots and in traffic and none of them seem to have seen me.
I've had 2 people stop my in my office's parking garage, and one person shout out to me from another car at a stoplight. I've had mine since late July.

I have seen a few in the wild and even test drove an ecoboost. I have a Hybrid Lariat with the luxury package on order. Just this afternoon I pulled into Chick-fil-a and one pulled in beside me. I got out to make sure I wasn't nuts and it was a hybrid! First in the wild. The guy chatted with me for about 10 minutes and opened every cubby and storage area without me even asking. He was averaging around 48mpg in our little town. It made my day!

i personally gave only seen 4 total on the hi-way since they first can out. I only noticed them because I had been waiting for mines. The first day I rode mine out to the store I fellow walker up to me couldn’t believe his eyes finally saw one up close. He asked how long did you wait, 14 months I told him and how do you like it. I replied I can’t stop smiling!

I've had dozens of people ask me about my Maverick & they always compliment the Area 51 color. This summer I was at a 4th of July party & overheard a guy I know talking about how he was interested in a Maverick, but have never seen one, I said to him I have one, response was REALLY!!! I said ya, look over your left shoulder & there it is, the whole group followed me over to check it out. In the small town I live in, only one other person has one, he got it a month after I got mine.
