My dad and I both have a Maverick. In less than two years of combined ownership between the two of us, we have 4 flat tires. There is definitely something to the tread pattern on the conti's picking up debris.
Currently, I have Toyo Celsius tires. Decided to upgrade my tires sooner when I got...
The bottom sensor is down by the oil filter and I suspect that many people will have to access it from the bottom… Even if your arms are skinny enough to reach down there, you also have to be able to see what you are doing and be able to disconnect/connect the connectors.
I just got it installed on my truck. It adds a noticeable kick and accelerates much more smoothly. I have only ever run it as high as 5/7 on the tune.
The installation job really would take only about 5 minutes for some people if they know exactly what they are doing.
For me, I did not know...
Don't ask me why but the engine seems to be a lot quieter whenever I run premium. Runs a lot smoother and has more power too.
I don't have any theories as to why this is because I am not a mechanic. If it bothers you that much it might be worth a try though.
Also, it will likely quiet down...
Good luck! Spring can't come quickly enough, both for your daughter's truck and for the weather to improve at some point. I have had to use my new tires multiple times since I got them, if you know what I mean.
How's it going? I live in Menominee, which is at the very southern tip of the UP just over the bridge from Wisconsin. I am somewhat jealous of your hybrid. If I didn't need to tow more that is what I would have.
So I had less than 20k miles on my ProContact TX tires and they were almost worn out.
In my opinion, they aren't the best of tires. The have a short life, the handling is poor and traction issues have left me stuck in the snow a couple of times (despite not being high centered).
Yesterday, I...
I had this happen to me several times and it never did begin to download. Every time I have updated my truck I have had to find a place with a strong cell signal (think 5 bars of 5G) and low surrounding interference, such as a public park, to get it to go. The other side of the equation is...
I have owned 4 Fords in a row and there are two things I have found:
1. The owner's manual states that 87 octane is just fine but I find they run much better on at least 89 octane. I have owned the NA 2.0, hybrid 2.5 and ecoboost 2.0 and that is always the case. All Ford engines seem to be...
For reference, my model is rated at 29 mpg highway. Also, when talking about the worst case scenario, it is worth talking about the best case scenario to give you a better idea. At 55 mph, I have got 39 mpg on more than one occasion.
Your mileage will vary a lot more than any other vehicle I...
I don't have a Tremor but I do have an Ecoboost with 4K towing and typically get no less than 32 - 35 mpg on the highway at as fast as 75 mph. The EPA ratings seem almost like a worst case scenario.
I am wondering if you need this TSB, like I do:
TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN
Not Equipped With SYNC - Bluetooth/Applink/CarPlay/Android Auto/Media Player And/Or Customer Connectivity Settings Concerns
There are some people on this forum who have said that they have had no problems with recent...
That TSB isn't listed as being for updates but I wouldn't be surprised if it is related. This system is notoriously finicky with updates but most people are eventually able to get them to go... Since I haven't been able to, I figured I would try this.
I am having the same issue but only with the latest update. The only reason I even care is because I am having issues with losing connection to my phone, the system crashing, weird audio glitches and etc.
Only thing I can think of to do is get this TSB done (referenced on Ford Owner site)...
