He read it just fine. He also understands that it isn't about whether you can afford the gasoline. It is about protecting the planet. BTW, the A/C compressor runs only about 30% of the time even under the highest demand.
Since it's a Maverick forum, I thought I'd post this picture of a Maverick (young Highland Bull, to be specific) with it's nose in the air.

Hate it. How do I disengage permanently? Any obd type plug in deletes?
I don't understand why people dislike auto stop/start, my current car, a Mazda CX-3 does not have it - very frustrating to sit there with the engine idling 🥺. My previous Mazda was a manual trans and it was simple to manualy stop start it!

I found the answer to disable this "feature" without pushing a button. The outdoor temperature displayed on my touchscreen was 101 and the auto stop showed disabled on the dash. So just drive when it is over 100 outside and no need to to push the button :cwl:
Probably some form of differential between outside and inside desired - if it knows the AC has to run constantly, can't turn off.
Think you had a 30 or 40 difference?

So set the AC temp to Lo below 55, slower fan speed so you don't have to wear a shawl, all vents so hands or feet don't freeze.
See if it reacts the same.

From manual:

The system does not stop the engine if:
  • The driver door is open.
  • Your vehicle is at high altitude.
  • The heated windshield is on.
  • The engine is warming up.
  • The outside temperature is too low or too high.
  • The battery charge is low.
  • The battery temperature is outside the optimal operating range.
  • The engine is required to run to maintain interior climate and reduce fogging.

Do these people go all over the internet for different topics where someone asks a question just to say they don't understand why the person wants whatever is being discussed?
"I don't understand why the OP wants fresh Rosemary on a pork roast, salt and pepper has always been enough seasoning for me"
"Crocks? But why?!?!? I've always been fine with flipflops"

And this stuff is always happening so when and how long before it is actually ‘allowed’ to work? I never have to push the ‘off’ button cause 1 or all of this crap is going on at the same time! But I’m ok with that.

To each their own but it comes built in with a button to turn it off that’s 2 inches from the dial shifter. One tap and done. Been doing it for a year and a half, it’s habit now.

Really not much different from my use of the "slippery" mode in my hybrid except I have to push it three times. I'm very much used to it and it's become routine.

No excrement. Read the manual front to back as I do whenever I buy a new vehicle. It was a joke! Geeze 🙄
Oh I know you were joking for that one way out of AS/S.

I'm commenting you may be on to something, maybe it's not just high temp, but the difference.

So I tried it today. Outside temp read 104, I set the AC to 90 it still disabled. So maybe it is strictly off outside temp not a diferrential.
At least a dry heat - right!
