I doubt that it does, after all the manual on pages 168 - 170 describes this function; it also provides advice and exemption as to when it will not auto start/stop.Does the auto start/stop eliminator affect your warranty at all?

How's your new ride, did you take to it to the Oilers game last night?Thank you very much for the info. Just received my 2023 XL Feb 17![]()
No I didn’t take it to the game, but I sure am enjoying it very much! How's your new ride, did you take to it to the Oilers game last night?
Do that, or just disable it at start up time. It's a question routine, like seat belt, selecting the drive mode, releasing the brake, etc. It's certainly not the hundred bucks and the additional work, but I don't see spending money on something that's at my fingertip...Get the auto stop eliminator and be done with it.if you have to go to dealer just unplug it till you get it back.money well spent!
After only a couple days with this, I totally agree that it will be some of the best money I’ll ever spend!Get the auto stop eliminator and be done with it.if you have to go to dealer just unplug it till you get it back.money well spent!
Mine does this too.My Mav will auto release the E brake with a bump of the throttle. Don't they all do this?
If you get the hybrid as i did, then NO. There is a seamless interchange between the gas and electric engine that you never notice. There is now stop start at stoplights. That was a real pleasant surprise. I am only speaking for the hybrid. I don't know about the eco boost. I have the 2022 lariat hybrid. love it.I probably should call the Ford dealership on this one. Does the Mav have the idle shutdown, and if so can I switch it off? Seems like a lot of vehicles today have auto shut down at red lights and drive thru burger joints..lol
I'm not sure what you mean. My hybrid definitely turns off the engine when stopped at lights or in the drive thru. And you can definitely hear when the gas engine kicks back in. But ... the electric motor does start moving the vehicle forward before the gas engine starts back up so that's a plus.If you get the hybrid as i did, then NO. I'm not sure I even like the feature but it should work. I waited a month for "the guy" at my dealer to look at it and he says it doesn't work because my battery was low. I don't put on a ton of miles because I am retired and most of the stuff I do is close to my house but I drive the truck 3-5 times per week. Service advisor says I need to put a battery tender on the truck- that I drive 3-5 times per week. I suspect I got a crappy battery or have a charging system or BMS problem. It starts fine and all other features work.I've been paying attention to how the auto start/stop works. Here's my subjective results:
I have this Maverick for nine month now, the age of the battery is not unknown, at least to me. This is the current battery test results:
- Disabled by the system until the engine warms up around 75%
- Disabled by the system when the battery charge is at 60 - 75%, depending on the outdoor temperature

That's not an optimal battery condition, to say the least, with winter around the corner. Especially the charge level of 60%:

Yes, I can recharge the battery and already done it once, but how many times will I need to recharge it, especially in the winter? On the plus side, I don't need to worry about disabling auto start/stop, the system does it for me.
In the winter, when the truck isn't used that much, this will be even worse. My Toyota Avalon, that's driven even less, with its flooded battery and 100A alternator does not have this issue. Every 4-5 year I get a new battery and there's no issues.
Something doesn't add up here, maybe it's the battery or the alternator that having issues, The OCV check is a pretty good indication of the battery state, but it cannot pinpoint the source of the issue. I understand that driving for short distances most of the times may contribute to this. (Grudgingly recall my F150 under the same circumstances/driving distances, it never had issues with the battery.)
Anyone has a suggestion for addressing this?
Thx...

They "charged" the battery Monday to 87% and it worked Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday and today not working. If my battery discharges that much in one or two days it will probably fail to start this winter.
Waiting for the dealer to call me back. So far I am not at all impressed with Ford service and I plan to make a stink about it because that is just not right.
