If you want it turned off with a one-time plug in that alters Ford's software, you will need to use a computer with FORScan software and an OBD-II interface. Otherwise, the other two solutions already mentioned will need to remain plugged in. Malware shouldn't be a concern either way you do it.

Don't know about Chinese malware but ForScan is Russian developed software.

I hated the stop start at first, well still do but.
Once I made turning it off part of my start up procedure and commented it to memory it is no longer an Issue.
I don’t even have to look down. That big ass button is easy to punch as my hand is in motion and passing right by it as I latch the seat belt.
