Hotspot is only constraint left for remaining 2022 orders (as of 4PM ET 9/20/22)

Might just be a chip issue but they probably aren't installing any of the added electronics so you could make it work later. Never had the feature but it would make sense it would work much better than using your phone as a hotspot since the equipment and antenna don't have to fit in you phone. I'm sure there are aftermarket alternatives.

Mine just got built without the wifi hotspot. Saved me a whole $20 off the MSRP. I would never have used it anyway.

I was bummed about the hotspot. $25 for an unlimited hot spot is a great deal and it's nice for long road trips.

'Unlimited' usually means the speed is throttled, especially after a set amount of data has been used.

The likely reason for no more 2022 constraints is that they cancelled all the 2022 orders that had constraints.

They have not said it but I would suspect the reason that they are removing the hardware for the subscription hotspot is that too few people were subscribing to it. There in no sense in putting in 1000 Mavericks if only 5 will pay for it.

I find it incredulous that Mavericks with identical constraints with later order dates get scheduled and earlier ones get shunted off to 2023!

try doing that at major football game ticket line!

The hot spot is a nice to have once in awhile thing. Yeah you can tether your phones hot spot but then that drops the battery pretty quick and most plans hotspot features maxes out @ 10/15 GBs - I tested the Mavs hotspot and didn't find it had any better reception than my phone (Both on ATT).When my phone dropped service so did the Maverick -

Exactly what I said when I posted this. The only constraint listed was something no longer offered therefore not a constraint.
I'm sure there are new constraints this week. and probably more in the future for the MY23
