I did and I regret not getting the tow package, especially because I put larger tires on there.

If you're not planning to tow more than 2k or put larger tires on there, it's not necessary.

Dang. I kinda wanted larger tires. I wonder if the order banks are still open. It's not such a big deal if I have to wait longer.

I regret not getting the FX4 package on my XLT. I have everything else. The instrument cluster upgrade is a nice feature by itself, but I was getting too hung up over losing the sport & Eco mode at the time I didn’t know anything about forscan. Plus having that FX4 decal I think has other truck owners do a double take lol.
Yeah I regret this to. I ordered an XLT with the tow package and skipped the FX4 package but wish I would have added the FX4 package to my order.

I ordered my '23 FX4 Maverick without 4K and do not regret it one bit. In my entire adult life (I'm 69) I have only had to tow anything three times and all were well under 2000 lbs loaded. All three times it was a U-Haul trailer, twice for moving and once to pick up living room furniture. I just couldn't justify spending $750 for something I will probably never need and, on the off chance I ever do need it, I can rent a vehicle that has that capability for much less than $750.

I did it for resale value, upgraded cooling, the gearing, and because I thought I might tow a camper at some point. Couple of weeks after I got it I ended up towing a 2500 rental trailer for yard equipment. Glad I did it.

Yes, I got a 22, fx4 and I now regret not adding the 4k. I pull a small utility trailer and would like to add a small trailer.

I do not regret not getting the 4K package on 2023 FX4. I have an F-150 to do any heavy towing and a Powerwagon to do my heaviest towing. I enjoy slightly better MPG without it, along with all the other capabilities.

I ordered my Maverick without the FX4 package or the tow package because I wanted maximum hwy mpg. If anything I would think that the tow package would add a good bit to the resale value.

If you're thinking of towing any trailer with electric brakes ( most campers )order 4k tow package . it would be cost effective . those extras can be added to fx4 after the fact but will cost more . My fx4 doesn't have it but don't plan on towing any trailer that needs 4k tow package . Bought my maverick off dealer extra allotment . If I ordered one fx4 + 4k towing package would be added just in case .
Same here, I bought my Maverick as a dealer stock order and it has FX4 doesn't have 4k, If I had ordered it I would have gotten both. Not really planning on doing any heavier towing but seems like a pretty cheap enough option just in case.

thats what i keep going back and forth about. is it worth losing my place in line to add it because of a just in case scenario. The reality is i probably wont need it for quite some time if at all.

I doubt you would lose you place in line by adding it. I think the only time you lose your place in line is if you change the body code like going from XL to XLT or EB to hybrid.

My XLT FX4 doesn’t have 4K. I never towed with any of my vehicles so I couldn’t justify spending the $745.

the transmission cooler is a good reason to get 4k tow. I had one added to an SUV like 15 years ago and I believe it was close to 300 parts and labor.

I actually traded my first Maverick to get one with 4k tow. made a small profit also, but it was really about getting the right truck.

Same here. Fx4, w/o 4k tow. Love it... I never tow, ever... but wouldn't mind it just for resale value. If I get better mpg then no regrets. I'm getting 26mpg and I'm heavy on the gas.

Also just did 800 miles in a brand new '23 f150, 2 people, luggage and 2 bikes. the mav would have handled the trip better. The seating was about the same, maybe slightly more room in the f150, but not noticeably. The main difference was the massive center console. And separation from passenger, certainly higher up. But far worse fuel economy and worse road manners. Definitely feel the bumps more. Also I missed the ease of getting in and out. Never thought I'd say this as an athletic guy, but climbing up and in the f150 was annoying when I'm just driving to the grocery store. Same with putting bikes in and out of a bed that was really high. F150 surely is more capable, especially on the beach sand. But the small truck is really all I needed. And literally HALF the price. Loving the Maverick so much right now after seeing what I missed out on for a $65k f150

Unfortunately with my truck being scheduled I'd have to put in an entirely new order in order to add 4k and forfeit my current one. I don't even know if the order banks are still open. šŸ™
